As I've said elsewhere, I'm getting the non-continuity-driven one-shots, First Class, and... well, that's it really. I get some Logan in alternate-continuity books (upcoming X-Men Forever, Marvel Adventures Avengers, etc.) but since I avoid the ghastly mainstream present-day 616 stuff (including the retcons they've foisted on him the last 5 years) I'm not getting too much Wolverine at all, plus that means I get no Romulus as well. I don't like the way he's been written by Aaron, Bendis, Millar, Way, etc. (they might be great people, or even good writers when they're not tearing Marvel super-heroes to pieces, I just don't like their comics writing) so that cuts a lot of his appearances out for me. (Along with a lot of other characters these days...)

He's a member of the line's Avengers lineup. That's the only MA title I buy, so I can't speak to whether he ever shows up in any of the others.

@Brian: Simple capitalism. The market will sell what the market can support. The market can support a shit-load of Wolverine. Plus, a lot of those are guest appearances which could help out other books.

Hm, let's see here:

- Batman & Robin
- (Unqualified) Batman (Side note: "In this special epilogue to BATTLE FOR THE COWL, new BATMAN writer Judd Winick rejoins the Bat Family!" OH GOD NOT AGAIN)

- I'll count streets of Gotham but not Red Robin. Nor Gotham City Sirens, which doesn't mention Batman anywhere in the solicit.

- Booster Gold guest appearance
- Batman: Brave & The Bold
- Super Friends

So, 9 not counting TPBs. That actually seems quite reasonable, especially since the last two are kids' books (I couldn't figure out if Wolverine appears in the Marvel Adventures line). I suppose there's always a chance that Batman's boots could show up in Tiny Titans, but no obvious hints there.

This was also a bit of a weird month, with a lot of FC-related miniseries but nothing else in that department.

Only one i'm psyched for is the Jason Aaron/Ron Garney Wolverine, Get Mystique rocked i cannot wait to see what a writer that i think is on par with Azzarello in terms of grittiness can do with Wolverine when given free reign.

Ah the internet, where you can complain about anything you want but at the risk of someone complaining about your complaints. It's almost more metatexual than a Morrison comic.

Not saying that Wolverine's not a bad character- he's pretty cool- but why does Marvel feel the need to oversaturate the market with these comics? Who else besides the collectors are actually going to go out and buy every single one of these issues? And calling it an industry... that's my biggest issue right there: that it's an industry. Instead of treating comics like art, they're treated like something made in an assembly line. Hell, with pencilers, inkers, letterers and colorists, it might as well be an assembly line. Clearly these guys have talent- lots of it- which only makes it a shame that they're not put to better use. I'm not saying we can't ever have any more Wolverine comics; I'd just like to see some more variety. And don't you be dissing on Blankets; it's a damn good book.

That’s crazy enough that it must be true. Wasn’t it established once that he could regenerate from very little tissue? But I don’t think they’d meet up to play cards. Think of the identity crisis. I think they’d hunt each other down, like in Highlander, to prove who is the TRUE Wolverine.
