I know this will probably anger a lot fans, and that's not my intent.

But how I am to choose between Daredevil and Hulk, possibly my two least Marvel favorite characters ever?

Anyone want to swap votes? I'll vote for your favorite choice if you promise to back The Thing over Flash.

A superhero so original that many people still don't get him today, or Marvel's Batman knock-off? The big green guy for me.

Moon Knight is in this round?

Don't blame me. I voted for Mr. Fish.

Wow, I'm surprised Daredevil has so many fans. I always kind of thought he was a lame-wad.

Spidey over Thor is obvious. Everybody loves Spidey, while Thor has drifted between the second and third tier for a couple decades. I'm shocked that he has made it this far.

Daredevil is great when Frank Miller is scripting, but kind of dull otherwise. That is sort of true of the Hulk and Peter David, but there were some cool earlier stories.

People bashing Daredevil clearly aren't reading the current/ last few arcs...

Daredevil vs. the Hulk? I HAVE TO CHOOSE? I'm dying inside. Ok, fine. Daredevil. But I'm not happy about it!

I can´t believe the comments bashing Daredevil, one of the most complex and defined superhero characters of the last 30 years. Sure you can like The Hulk, maybe I would too if I´d know which personality has today.

Seriously, can two people define Hulk the same way?

So I went Hulk and Thor in this one. Looks like the majority are against it. Either way you get two great fights coming out of it. Thor VS Hulk or Spidey VS DD. Pretty sweet.

Third time I've picked a vote solely on the basis of "Not Daredevil". I just have no interest in the character, and only begrudgingly admit that Frank Miller could make his book readable to me.

Thor, dammit.

I wonder how different this tourney would be if we mixed it with the writers scripting the character. For example, are we voting for Hulk (Peter David), Hulk (Greg Pak), or Hulk (Jeph Loeb)? It makes a HUGE difference to me, especially with this particular character.

My votes were

Thor

Hulk

Both are behind right now

Yeah, Flythe, that's been an ongoing dilemma for me, too. I go back and forth with myself. Should I compare the very best stories about each character? Should I compare the basic concepts/first stories? Should I try to come up with some kind of average level of quality over the years? So far, I've been deciding pretty much on whatever whim hits me, but my votes could almost all have played out differently if I had used one of the above criteria consistently.

Daredevil vs Hulk is hard? Really?

Hulk is just a big angry dude who hits things.

If this was the Peter David smart Hulk, maybe I would see the point, but now it isn't even close.

What I've been going with is "based on the history of the characters as I've experienced them, who would I be more likely to want to read a story about, creative team sight unseen?"

In this case, it's quite easy: Spidey and DD. I've read far too many horrible Hulk stories, even if the actual character is one of my favourites.
