Batman’s at 100 percent!

I’m first!

Batman’s gonna win it all!

Not a knock on the good Doctor, but isn’t this one a forgone conclusion?

I’d say that yes, it is a forgone conclusion, but I’m still voting Doom.

Dr. Doom as Cinderella — try getting that mental image out of your head.

The good doctor hasn’t much chance, but I’ll pull for him anyway!

Best,
Hunter (Pedro Bouça)

DOOM SHALL NOT NOT FALL TO A MAN IN POINTY-HEADED LONG UNDERWEAR!

OH COME ON PEOPLE!!!! you know you want to vote for Doom… so do it already!!!!!!!!!!!!

Rob M said “Dr. Doom as Cinderella — try getting that mental image out of your head.”

Theo said “DOOM SHALL NOT NOT FALL TO A MAN IN POINTY-HEADED LONG UNDERWEAR!”

So, Doctor Doom offering a beat down on Batman, in glass slippers?

I think we can all agree that one of the biggest mistake anyone could make is underestimate DOOM

Come on, Batman clearly already postulated of the idea of a super intelligent tyrannical man in armor on a parallel earth, and devised several different strategies and tactics for defeating him, dealing varying degrees of pain based on how much Batman gets pissed.

Doom was defeated before even stepping in the arena.

I’m kind of surprised Doom’s losing by so much. I mean, I expect Batman to win, but I thought Doom had a bigger following.

When Doom loses, he’ll find some way to blame Reed Richards and his family, or just claim that it was a doombot in order to salve his wounded pride.

But Batman hates magic, Patrick C. This hate will cause Bats to misstep. All Hail Doom.

Others may fall to a so-called “hero” with an oversized belt, but he, he is DOOM!

Both are rich. Both wear masks and cloaks. Both have loads of cool gadgets, and other people/robots who pose as them from time to time. Both live in big ol’ houses that are usually dark and stormy. Both are pillars of the community. Both of their parents are dead. Both have mommy issues. Both are hyper-intelligent and plan for any eventuality (If it wasn’t for that cursed Richards…). Both have travelled in time. Both of their alter egos are linked to some traumatic event in their youth. Both have studied science. Both have dedicated their lives to the pursuit of one goal (fighting crime/defeating Reed Richards). Both are pretty sinister, but also misunderstood.

Let’s call the whole thing off?

It’s a shame Doom’s going to lose because Batman getting knocked out makes the final 4 a whole lot more interesting.

As it is, we’re going to probably have Batman vs Spider-man which is pretty boring if you ask me.

Batman may hate magic, but he ain’t afraid of it.

hey, remember:

this isn’t about who would beat who (which, let’s be honest, it would be Doom)… this is about who’s the best character (which, let’s be honest, it’s Doom)!

Come on, Batman clearly already postulated of the idea of a super intelligent tyrannical man in armor on a parallel earth, and devised several different strategies and tactics for defeating him, dealing varying degrees of pain based on how much Batman gets pissed.

And yet one clown causes him no end of trouble.

[...] Vote for Doom! He’s in a heated battle against Batman in the DC/Marvel March Madness Tournament over at Comics Should Be Good!. [...]

Dr. Doom is, arguably, the the greatest Super-Villain ever. He has a couple interesting dimensions to him in that he has his own moral code. That lends him a tragic nobility that most comic book antagonists lack. It is hard sometimes to not root for him to finally knock off that cursed Richards clan.

That said, Doom is not half as interesting as Batman. Bruce Wayne has more sides to him than half the Marvel Universe. He can be used equally well in a detective story, a globe trotting adventure story, a light comedy, a big epic sci-fi story or a horror story. A writer could present him as either straight or gay, sane or insane, depressed or focused. That is a complicated dude. Complicated is interesting.

This is clearly a brain/brain thing and has nothing to do with powers or strength. They are both smart and incredibly wealthy individuals. Batman has come up with some gadgets and a few cool cars and such (thank you Lucius Fox!), but Doctor Doom would be the clear victor. He’s just smarter. just compare the caliber of weapons and gadgets versus anything Batman came up with.

Na na na na na na na
na na na na na na na … BATMAN!!!!

Doom really never had a chance. Even from the grave, Batman kicks ass.
