I’d Bring the Original Human Torch Back
Isn’t it weird that he’s not around? I’m figuring Brubaker actually will eventually get around to bringing him back (I hope), but really, the guy’s an android! If there ever was a guy who shouldn’t be able to just die, this would be the guy! Just have someone find the remnants of his body after [...]
I’d Have Apollo an Official Analogue of Superman
Remember when they had that Countdown: Arena mini-series where different variations of each character from different Earths of the Multiverse fought each other? In that series, Apollo (of the Authority) was a variation of…the Ray??!?!? I’d make Apollo what he should be – an official analogue of Superman.
I’d Have Rogue Re-Join the X-Men
It’s so odd to me that Rogue is not on the X-Men. She’s one of the most famous members of the team, the team does not exactly have a ton of famous female members left (basically Storm and Emma Frost), so why keep off Rogue, who is a good character, to boot! So I’d put [...]

Lex Luthor Bailout, starring Jon Hamm The pay off on this one is great. And hey, I like Hamm better in the role than Kevin Spacey! Nerds pay to watch Malin Akerman sleep It is what it says in the link. I’d make a Mike Sterling joke about the 30-something guys dressed as Swamp Thing [...]

It’s like What I Bought, but with less song lyrics!
I’d Have Let Hawkman and Hawkgirl Die
The whole point of Grant Morrison having the Hawks die in Final Crisis #7 was that they would resurrect, and then the next writers to use the characters could have them in whatever incarnation of the Hawks that they’d like to use (a blank slate, if you would). So I’d have gone along with that [...]
Watchmen Squashed By Most Electrifying Man In Family Entertainment, Box Office Plunges

So, yeah, that happened this weekend. One of Warner’s excecutives is quoted in the article as citing similar drops in X-Men III and Fantastic Four II. Those are certainly two movies I never expected to see mentioned in relation to Watchmen. Well, them and Sex and the City.
I’d Make Phyla-Vell Captain Marvel
Wendell is back, so he should get the name Quasar back, so it would be nice to see her graduate then to the name Csptain Marvel!
I’d Give Nancy Woods a Unique Personality
Nancy Woods is the girlfriend of Chuck in the Archie Comics. Chuck is an interesting character, but Nancy is as bland as bland can be. Not only is she bland, but every time a writer tries to give her some sort of unique personality, the next writer forgets about it. So I’d give Nancy a [...]
I’d Have the Milestone Heroes on Their Own Earth
This one I think is so obvious I really can’t comprehend why this is NOT what the current state of affairs is. You have a Multiverse. You just had this big crossover all about the joys of the Multiverse. You have this group of heroes who exist in their own universe, whose existence almost definitely [...]
I’d Have Punisher MAX Rotate Writers
I don’t know if that is or is not what Marvel is going to turn out to do, but boy, so far, both Gregg Hurwitz and Duane Swierczynski have done such a good job that I’d hate to see to pick JUST one writer on the series, and this is all without Victor Gischler even [...]
I’d Have Had Salvation Run Tie Into Final Crisis
Or at least some other storyline. Because otherwise, what an odd little story in the middle of nowhere (“The villains all go on to a prison planet for….some reason. Then we never speak of it again!”). Matt Sturges and Bill Willingham, respectively, did what they could with it, but boy, it was a bit like [...]
I’d Make Songbird an Avenger
She’s on the run from Norman Obsorn, the Avengers are on the run from Norman Osborn, she’s a cool character who has a lot of inside info on Osborn, she has cool powers and the current New Avengers are a bit shy, power-wise (with the current exception of Ms. Marvel). It totally works!! And I [...]
I’d Have Given Final Crisis More Issues
I think Final Crisis would have worked a lot better from a marketing perspective if DC had just made the Superman Beyond issues (at the very least) official issues of Final Crisis. I know the worry is that there is a different artist, but when the artist is of the high quality of Doug Mahnke, [...]
I’d Have Let a Certain Character Live in Walking Dead
Yeah, that’s an awkward title, but I can’t very well spoil stuff, now can I? So, SPOILER WARNING
