Let’s face it – the dude is creepy!
Danielle Leigh’s Reading Diary — Higurashi: When They Cry vol 3
The third volume of Higurashi: When They Cry ushers in the second reset button of the series — the Cotton Drifting arc — and very skillfully alters the tone of the narrative from the first arc, ensuring that the reader won’t even know what hits them once the murderous “reveal” is finally unveiled in volume [...]
A Year of Cool Comic Book Moments – Day 123
Here is the latest cool comic book moment in our year-long look at one cool comic book moment a day (in no particular order whatsoever)! Here‘s the archive of the moments posted so far! Today we continue our look at what is most likely the greatest Daredevil story ever told, Born Again, by Frank Miller [...]

The definitive word on the quality of comics you can no longer obtain. I believe President Obama would call it “The Horse Is Already Out Of The Barn Comics Review”.
The Reread Reviews — Hellblazer #85-88
As I said earlier in the week, I own more Hellblazer comics than any other title, so it would be silly not to reread some for this feature, wouldn’t it? But what story should I focus on? Click on to find out!
Flippin’ through Previews – May 2009

Mark Evanier has the sad news here. I was always a fan of Estrada, either as an inker or a penciler. He will be missed.
Sunday Brunch: 5/3/09
NO USE CRYING OVER SPILLED BEANS DEPT: Everybody else linked to it already, but I write these ahead of time, dangit. The Ain’t It Cool News crew interviews Mark Waid, and it’s a fascinating and candid piece that may or may not take a few torches to a few bridges. Marvelous first-person retrospective of the [...]
A Year of Cool Comic Book Moments – Day 122

Blue Moon Reviews — A.I. Revolution, Vol. 1
A.I. Revolution is the story of a high school girl and her male robot companion. Unlike another series with a superficially similar premise, this one’s actually pretty good.

Mine was pretty good. If you want to hear about it (and a heart warming anecdote about future generations of nerds), it’s after the jump.

Friday’s Reading Diary (With a Little Bookscouting, Too)
Danielle does it, our other Greg does it, and (for just this week) I’m doing it too. But I have an ulterior motive.
What I bought – 29 April 2009
This week: War comics: 2; Superhero comics: 1½. Dynamite Entertainment comics: 2; Mainstream DC comics: 0 (2 Vertigo ones, though). The best thing about this? I don’t miss them at all.
