It's like your plucking these choices straight out of my web history, man! Samnee's a master of high contrast, noir lighting. He indicates so much with so little. He also has a wonderful cartoony style that he uses to draw lunch notes for his wife every day. Check those out. They're adorable.

I like his stuff, I have a Blue Beetle black and white drawing he made for me. He lives in/near St Louis so and he’s friend with my comic book store so have to agree he’s a real stand up guy.

Chris is a wonderful artist, and best of all, he’s standup guy! As one of my favorite artist, I’m thrilled he’s finally getting the recognition he deserves! He’s also got what I think is the best artist/creator blog on the web and he has a loyal following! The newest issue of The Mighty was terrific! Thanks for spotlighting him, Brian!

I thought it was weird that he wasn’t getting any praise or promotion when Dead of Night was coming out. I really like his style, and those B&W pictures are fantastic.

Another artist who reminds me of Steve Yeowell!

In a good way! Steve Yeowell really works well in black and white (in fact some people have argued that his work should never be coloured!) And Mr Samnee also has a really strong black and white look.

The colour pages look fine, but those black & white pieces… WOW!

The art’s great — Sean Phillips was the first comparison to come to my mind — but what I really liked here was that first story. “The helmet can only be removed by the wearer.” Bwah hah hah!

Every now and then, Marvel and DC does something really smart, and hire a really gifted artist.
