A Year of Cool Comic Book Moments - Day 174
Here is the latest cool comic book moment in our year-long look at one cool comic book moment a day (in no particular order whatsoever)! Here's the archive of the moments posted so far!
Today begins a two-part look at one of my favorite single issues of all-time.
Enjoy!
Justice League America #45, by Keith Giffen, JM DeMatteis and (in this segment, at least) Russell Braun, features Guy Gardner being forced by Ice to take her somewhere on a date that SHE wants to go (their first date was to a porno theater and their most recent date was to a cock fight). So he agrees to go to the "Ice Capists" with her.
Guy reluctantly agrees, but Blue Beetle then finds out about the date and decides to have a little fun.
Hilarity, as they say, ensues.

"The" moment is definitely the debut of Guy Gardner on ice.

But the biggest laugh is, "Daddy, Daddy, look! It's Moe!"

This is one of the funniest comics ever--I still laugh out loud when I read it.
And I agree “The” moment is definitely the debut of Guy Gardner on ice.
It's one of my two favorite Splash pages ever---the other one I know you featured in the next moment!
Thanks for the moment...

Keith Giffen is such a cad.
"Guy Gardner on Ice" indeed... all that work for one double entendre.

One of the funniest single issues of one of the funniest runs ever done on a comic!!! (and therefore) another excellent choice for a cool moment.
