Is This Theoretical Silver Surfer Video Game A Conspiracy To Injure Nerds?
Kotaku passes along comments from the developers of the new Tony Hawk skateboard game*, which will come with a skateboard shaped motion control. In it, he mentions two possible Marvel games the board could be compatible with. Only one makes a lick of sense to me. I’ll let you guess which by reading the quote**:
Tsui mentioned that there are plenty of no-brainers, like surfing and snowboarding, but that there are also opportunities for Silver Surfer and Hobgoblin games in the future
So, really, what are the injury projections if either of those get made? That said, a good Silver Surfer game of any kind is not something I’d turn down.
*As opposed to the Tony Hawk civic planning game. Which, knowing Activision, may be in the works.
**Screw subtlty, I’m gonna come out and say it; a Hobgoblin game? Seriously?

It couldn’t be any more frustrating than the Surfer game for NES, where I die, every time, on the first screen.

And that’s true for every one of the levels. I think the kid that programmed I Wanna Be The Guy played that game a LOT when he was younger.

That SS game was a lot more fun if you found the hidden cheat code that made you invincible. No challenge, but at least you could last longer than 30 seconds.
But seriously: Mr. Sinister as the climactic villain? You fight through Mephisto, Capt Reptyl, Firelord, and everyone else Ron Lim was drawing at the time…and the climax is Mr. Sinister?

What’s so hard to believe about a Hobgoblin game using a balance board? I’d say it’s only unlikely because the Green Goblin is more high profile and had that one hero version. The basic idea of using a balance board to simulate the Goblin Glider’s controls is sound.

I’d buy a system just to play a hypothetical Hobgoblin game.,

I’d love a Hobgoblin (or Green Goblin) game. Who wouldn’t want to chase Spider-Pansy around and heave pumpkin bombs at him.

Ha. That’d be awesome. They should just have the next Spider-Man be a Sinister Six thing and let you beat up on Spider-Man. Not like there aren’t enough straight-up Spider-Man games as it is, so why not?
Have a good day.

I would buy a good Green/Hobgoblin game. The more I think about it he is better suited for a video game than many heros who have a game.
