About time.

For years, I've said you need a flowchart to track all the different relationships in the X-Men. And now someone's actually done it.

Pity it will probably only be current for a month or two. But still, you have to applaud the sheer determination involved.

A direct link didn't work for me. Here's a (unfortunately framed) website link http://www.uncannyxmen.net/images/article/relationship/relationshipmapv1.htm

Proving once and for all that Wolvie is a disease vector in the making.

I'm at once awed and afraid of this accomplishment.

Yeah, don't just link someone's image to neuter their display; always go to the page, it's friendlier and less likely to be replaced with a giant naked fat person.

its way past time for it --always thought one needed a score card to keep track of all the x-men relationships given the soap opera element of the book

Link's fixed. Sorry about that. I'm afraid I only know enough web-fu to be dangerous without being actually competent.

Amazing job, but unnecessarily complicated. Infatuations and flirtations should NOT count. (One night stands, on the other, should. After all, you never know when someone will pull out the "remember that one time? Well, this is YOUR SON!!" Just ask Batman. :P )

[reads chart]

Wow. Brain hurts now. You who are about to maintain this, I salute you.

I found Gambit was a bit of a surprise though for his lack of linkage. Wolverine, less so. The boy does get around. ;)

addendum:
Just noticed it's already out of date due to Rictor's lack of Shatterstar linkage. That was fast.

It's also a shame that Northstar has never had any relationships. (And no, the infatuation during the Austen era doesn't count.)

So Wolverine is the James Bond of X-Men?

That chart was a true walk down Nerdy Lane. Now my head's all splody.

I wish they had one that had all the family relationships too, not just the 'who banged who' chart.

You really want this guy's head to explode don't you? ;-)

For a bunch of freaks aliens and clones they're amazingly hetero aren't they. IMO there should at least be a pink line between Sunspot and Rictor (They're RIGHT NEXT TO EACHOTHER!) They always seemed to like each other a bit too much. :-) And yeah, where IS Shatterstar?

I expected Wolverine and Cyclops to lead in terms of connections, but Kitty's got quite a few links there, as well. Rather surprising, and when you consider how Peter Rasputin is one of the more age-appropriate pairings writers have shown her in ( Pete Wisdom, Alastair Stuart, and on the unrequited side, CALIBAN ), it kind of unsettles.

Okay, apart from the Julio/Shatterstar gap, thats damn good
EXCEPT...the "Serious relationship/Marriage" between Hope Summers and Cable?
I'm not reading X-force, but Isn't Hope the KIds name?

Give the kid some time to grow into it, Christian. ;)

Bwaha. I said aloud, "Wow. Someone's done up a whole flow chart of who's done what with who in the X-Men universe."

My best friend: "Oh?"

Me: "Yeah, Greg linked it in his column." I turn the laptop around to show her.

Congratulations, you made her spit. *L*

Well... that sure is something.

Cable didn't do so bad either. At least we know one Rob Liefeld creation isn't gay for sure.

Gotta connect Wasp and Hawkeye though!

Didn't Nightcrawler get more action then that?

I'm sorry, but "soap opera element"? Look at all the Red, Purple and Blue lines connected to Wolverine. The guy is like Erica Kane.
