The trade sales are pretty good, I believe.

I want to see the burger scene now..

I dunno man, it either wouldn’t live up to how you picture it, or it would surpass it and you’d be lying on your bedroom floor in the fetal position bawling your eyes out…

It just says so much about those kids lives and their expectations – and also the bond they have – that it hits like a punch in the guts.

the last scene being slient shows the grief the kids are sharing with dash over their lost proving why scalped is not pulling any punches and that the characters are not haivng things all nice and rosey.

I was always surprised my dad liked this series as much as me because he usually stayed away from depressing/sad movies and books. And this series is pretty brutal. It’s now up to issue 30, which I read in an interview with Aaron is supposed to be the accumulation of everything hitting the fan.
I sure do hope something nice happens in a future issue of Scalped. Maybe take a timeout for a Calvin&Hobbesesque moment..

Which is why its terrifying that it sells monthly under 10K. Its an amazing book, with such a great hook. It runs you through an emotional gauntlet. My hope is that trade sales are enough to let Aaron finish his story and not do a quick stop ala exterminators and Young Liars.

So many great little moments here – if it were not for the fact that we don’t see it, I’d say that the hamburger scene would be “the” moment.

That bit’s heart breaking.
