By the by, when Ronstadt was getting crap for being “unpatriotic” awhile back, she should have countered with, “Are you nuts?! I was in a band with CAPTAIN AMERICA, for crying out loud!!”

And what ARE the secrets of the Ex-DJ?
Seriously, though, thanks for posting this. Cap looks like he is having such a good time there – what a grin!

What’s the context for this?
It’s one of the more bizarre images I’ve seen in the past few days (with the exception of Greg’s avatar) – Cap and Strange on guitars… and C-3PO on drums???

I guess 3PO got tired of being relegated to keyboards on the Star Wars band, and wanted to branch out.

Probably got tired of all of Hans Solos!

I thought his look was more like “Oh Dr. Strange, that musical riff you did just there was a reference to a Monkees song. Nice one!”

Man, everything was cooler in the ’70s.

Sadly, the band broke up when they discovered that the drummer couldn’t bend his elbows.

I’d say Cap is gloating. Doc looks pissy because he didn’t get to spend the night with Linda Ronstadt.
I remember Pizzazz.

Why does Doc Strange look like Schneider the superintendent from the sitcom One Day at a Time?

I think the Dr. looks like the love child if Schneider from One Day at a Time and Charles Bronson cica Death Wish II.

I bet Dr. Strange is upset that his version of “Blue Bayou” didn’t make the album.

With some Burt Reynolds thrown in for good measure.

My favorite athlete ever. I may have to go looking for the ish just for this …

@comicbookreader,
The artist is BOB LARKIN.
He was a HUGE precursor to Alex Ross in the “painted comic book” department.
In the 1970′s and early 1980′s his beautiful work graced many covers to Marvel trade paperbacks and pocket book novels.
Most of the “Fireside” books had his work as covers.
He also painted the cover to the 2nd Superman – Spider-Man crossover book.
He also painted some “regular” comic book covers as well, such as DAZZLER # 1 and CRYSTAR # 1.
Sadly, due to the printing standards of the time, his work wasn’t seen in interiors.
