haha. I like these con ones!

That’s a nice Avatar arrow tat

For a second, there, I thought he was supposed to be Red Tornado.

I didn’t even know avatar fans were that prominant.

Oinkman:

I don’t know how much prominence the Avatar fans may or may not have, but I’ve done three sketch commissions of the lead character at various shows so far this year. I’ve haven’t been asked about Twilight ever.

I know it’s a big whoopdeedoo because of the oddball media coverage, but seriously, guys, was this the best you could come up with?

I don’t think we really care whether the ‘lighters are there or not. Sure, we’d prefer they weren’t, *if* they aren’t spending money on other items and at least looking around to see what else the convention has to offer. But we’ve been saying that about the video game geeks, the porn stars that show up in their gowns and sign photos and sell DVDs, the rest of Hollywood bringing actors to panels and signings, et. al., since the mid nineties.

I also saw it as Red Tornado at first. Didn’t know there was someone with that much love for the character!

Nor should you.

How can this be read as an anti-Twilight strip?

liked it. I too thought it was red tornado, but you still get the point.

When did this get drawn? I swear, I saw that guy at the con earlier today.

I drew it late Thursday night.
I’ve been doing research for con visuals on Flickr.

Go to an anime con and drown beneath the seas of Avatar fans…

Despite, you know, Avatar not being anime and all.
