oh no worries! There is a fast moving place and there is plenty of space to cover the same series (I think I’ve only ever reviewed later volumes anyway!)

My first impressions have misled me many times, especially if I only read one volume, It’s actually rare that I get hooked in the first volume, and I only consider a manga hopeless if I’ve finished volume 5 and I’m still not hooked (unless it’s something which is obviously awful, and that is definitely not ASN).

I read this quite a while ago, so long ago that I had forgotten most of the plot details (I completely forgot about the beads, for example). I thought it was okay – there wasn’t anything I disliked. I just did not get hooked, for reasons as mysterious as the identity of the knight and the arms-person (who I also completely forgot). Of course, hearing everybody sing praises makes me think that maybe I should give it another chance, but currently it’s not very high on my list.

Michelle: Yes! For instance, the one in the suit of armor and the one that is just arms are completely unidentifiable. Ichijo has made an assumption about one of them, but I suspect he could be wrong. It really is extremely fascinating.

I’ve also heard great things about this series, but have yet to read it. I hadn’t realized that some of the students’ identities were so fully obscured during the nightmare episodes; that lends an extra spot of mystery to the story that I hadn’t anticipated.
