Reader KCViking mentioned a neat cameo in Power Girl #4. It sounded fun so I went right to my copy (I hadn’t read it yet) and yeah, there it is!
Cute stuff from Palmiotti, Gray and Conner!

Thanks Brian.I’m sure I wasn’t the only one who caught it though.

Don’t bother to tell anyone who/what the cameo is or anything, that might let other people in on the joke.

It’s sort of like explaining the punchline to a joke. If you get it, it’s potentially humorous. If you don’t, no amount of explaining makes it funny.
But here goes: it’s the cast of the sitcom “Big Bang Theory.”

It was only slightly more incomprehensible before my browser loaded the picture. I have no idea who the Ringo Starr moppet is.

I was thinking that it was one of the Beatles at first, after being told who it was it became obvious.

I’m still surprised no one’s clued you in to the CSBG reference in the last issue of Dark Reign: Young Avengers, Brian.

Yeah, I had to check the comments thread to find out who this was supposed to be, which is kind of funny seeing as I actually watched the pilot of this series.
From what I remember it was pretty much proof that the 3 camera sitcom is artistically bankrupt and long overdue for death.

Do you really think that was a Comics Should Be Good reference, Michael? Not a We3 reference?

Oh. I thought that was Scott McCloud on the far left.

Doesn’t look like them at all.

Honestly, I thought it was Balki from Perfect Strangers.

I knew that guy looked familiar. Couldn’t place it for the life of me, though.

Thought it was the Beatles at first, too. Or, a Beatle, at least. Too bad I didn’t look closer at the others at first, cause I love that show! Howard just looked very Beatle-esque and threw me off since he was the focal point.

This show is one of the only things I ever watch when it actually airs, and I didn’t even realize who I was looking at until I read the comments.

It’s so NOT the BBT crew….
They guys would never arrive to a theater late like that, at least not with Sheldon in tow.
Freakin’ DC ignoring continuity again!

Hardly ever watch network TV, much less most of the sitcoms. Never would have gotten this. Should have included the reference in the post because I guess if you watch the show you’ll get it but for everyone else they’ll be supremely disappointed when they have to read the comments to get the “meh” answer to this. I also wondered why a young Richard Starkey was in the current timeline. Next time, go head and “spoil” the joke because the people who will get it won’t have the joke spoiled for them and those who don’t watch the show aren’t going to have any clue what it is anyways. So what are you actually spoiling here by including the info in the post? At worst you are doing a dis-service to the show because if you are a fan then you should be linking to clips of the show or something that could attract more fans.

Never seen the show, but misandry isn’t funny anyway.

‘Supremely disappointed’? Really? Perhaps ‘a very, little, tiny bit disappointed’. I don’t see why you guys are making such a bit deal out of this. You see the reference, you open the comments to find out what the reference is to. Oh my God, so difficult. I didn’t have a clue what it was referencing, then I read the comments, now I do. It’s really not that big of a deal. Are you guys really the insecure in not knowing one tiny thing?

I had no idea who it was either but it was funnier to me reading everyone’s posts. Especially Eldric IV’s suggestion that it was Balki. I almost spit my soda all over the monitor.

I like The Big Bang Theory, but I didn’t get it either. Those drawings don’t look anything like the cast.

My only problem with that scene is that I can’t imagine Sheldon arriving late to a movie. He would either be punctual for that session or wait for the next one.

Took me a second to figure it out because I was just looking at Wolowitz and thought he was supposed to be a Beatle. When I saw Raj and Sheldon, I got it.
PS: They’re not late. They’re arriving during the previews. That’s how I interpret it at least. (Although Sheldon probably wouldn’t even been late for those.)

I thought it was a reference to CSBG’s referencing of We3, yes.

@Joe Walker,
I can see no misandry here. That’s just Wollowitz acting innapropriate and PG not liking it. Actually, Wollowitz way of “flirting” is a running joke on the show.

Well Alan, I showed it to people who watch the show. They recognized them. That was the point I was trying to make.Guess my post wasn’t clear on that. Sorry for the confusion.

I got it & thought it was hilarious as soon as I saw/read it. Can’t wait to see if there is some Power Girl comment made by way of response in the next season.

Sheldon is my hero. He deserves his own comic.

[...] Girl takes Terra out to see a horror movie (which PG loves but Terra hates), and PG gets hit on by a character from a TV show I don’t watch. Then they have to head out to deal with an emergency, and Terra totally doesn’t get the idea [...]

Big bang theory has it’s funny moments but it’s another example of New World Order misandrist propaganda.
Note how in modern culture if a guy is highly intelligent he’s a geek of low social status, whereas if a woman is smart she can be hot and looked up to.
In Big Bang theory these guys are geniuses but at least twice a woman has entered the scene and showed them up intellectually, so the show has portrayed these genius guys as mentally and socially inferior to women.
This is counter to reality where men are proven to have higher IQs overall according to all major studies. This makes evolutionary sense as men’s IQs are more spread across the spectrum whereas women’s are more grouped around the middle, the bigger the difference between men’s abilities the more easy it is for women to select the fittest mates, also the best of a diverse group of men is going to be much more intelligent than the best selected of a group of average men. Thus humanity’s intellectual evolution advances more rapidly.
The reason for the subjugation of men in the media is because men pose the biggest threat to the new world order (the global banking elite that control Western Governments and are moving toward complete global domination) Men are physically more dangerous, more likely to challenge authority (Men view totalitarian Government as an alpha male threat, women view it as a protector).
Think about it, research, observe and you will realise what’s happening.

Man, it’s amazing how ujnfunny someone can be when they have lots of free time. And some people wonder why women instinctively flee from them, leaving them with time to come up with narratives.
