Not really – Kirkman has shown, most noticeably in his column comparing Liefeld favourably to Kirby – that he can’t be objective when it comes to his 90′s love, and these titles look straight out of the worst parts of the 90′s – not ‘Image launch style books done right’ just ‘image launch style books’… and that makes people cautious.

I would’ve thought the easy way to get the cash back is to make it ‘if you want to buy the ring that comes with REBELS #10, you got to buy an issue of REBELS #10′ – that’s not a bad marketing ploy for all involved – DC and the retailer sell more REBELS #10, fans who want the ring can get the ring and try out REBELS #10.

The second Deadpool ongoing is much better than what Way was doing in the pre-existing series, and with Van Lente drawing the third, that’s likely to be even better… maybe by the 5th we’ll have something worthy of Joe Kelly! Or they could just ask him back.
