Last Day to Vote for Your Top Ten Iconic Marvel Panels!!!

Today is the last day to vote! So let’s see some more ballots cast! The more the merrier!
Check here for directions on how to vote! It’s been a very impressive turnout so far, which is quite nice to see.
On a somewhat related note, I surely did not mind all the spirited debate during the three-week long reveal of the Top 70. However, I was more than a little disappointed to see that at least two commenters with over 40 comments between them (plus a third with over a dozen) over the course of the reveal have not yet voted. If you’re going to comment that much about what you think of all of the panels, that’s fine, but come on, people, at least actually cast a ballot while you’re at it (and it’s not like these people have not commented since the voting began)!

I voted! I sent the contest to two dozen people via e-mail and posted it to Facebook. Can’t help it if the slackers refuse to vote.

What if our comment has been awaiting moderation for 4 days, does that mean it will get counted?
I’m just paranoid I guess.
thx

@ Rob Schmidt:
I am in the same boat. That may just be how an “invisible” vote looks to the person casting it.

Yes, it seems that the comments with the official code didn’t get posted. So they wouldn’t influence other voters, I guess? A secret ballot kind of thing?
If that’s the case, you might’ve explained that in the instructions, Brian. Because the lack of visible votes might have dissuaded some people from voting. I don’t know about that, but it’s possible.

I was in the same boat and emailed Brian. The corrctly submitted votes are invisible. His response is below:
> Hey Greg,

> The comment is intentionally invisible – all the ballots cast are
> invisible to the public (I can see them, of course, so I can count the
> votes!) so no one knows what the tallies are until I reveal them on the

Incidentally, do you have some idea when the DC version of this will happen? (OK, that’s assuming a DC version happens, but that seems like an obvious follow up.)

DC already had their 70th Anniversary!

Sorry I haven’t voted. I’m just not sure how I should vote. It seems like such a huge responsibility.

Though I’m pretty sure you’re at least kind of joking, Mary, I was thinking a bit along those lines myself. The panels are supposed to be iconic but the directions for voting are to choose your favorite which to me is something different entirely in most cases. I tried to stick with what was iconic to me, which like I thought it would be, was half Spider-man panels. But my votes are balanced out by whoever picks all the Avengers or mutant panels. So no big deal however you choose to vote. It will be interesting to see the final results and to see what people say about them and that’s the whole point anyway.

Clearly you’ll have to do a belated 75 most iconic DC panels.
