A Year of Cool Comic Book Moments – Day 249
Here is the latest cool comic book moment in our year-long look at one cool comic book moment a day (in no particular order whatsoever)! Here‘s the archive of the moments posted so far!
Today we look at the time that Fin Fang Foom threatened to put someone in his pants…
The last time I featured a Nextwave (written wonderfully by Warren Ellis and drawn beautifully by Stuart Immonen) moment, someone remarked that they missed seeing the intro to each issue, so I’m including the little snarky intro with today’s moment! Enjoy!

“The” moment, of course, is when Fin Fang Foom threatened to put her in his pants.
Classic.

I also love the explanation as to why monsters eat people.
The Captain needs to show up in more stuff.
I miss Nextwave.

Am I the only one who imagined a classic Tom and Jerry yell when FFF was flicking them off his finger?

Is it wrong that I laughed when I read, “The Captain is so absurdly strong that he once smacked someone’s spine out through their lungs just by patting them on the back?”
…sigh…
I miss Nextwave…
I’m gonna go to my bedroom now and hope I find them there touching my stuff.

Nextwave is one of the few comics in recent years that consistently made me happy with every single issue! Truly excellent stuff.

How was Boom-Boom flying?
1. Jetpack
2. If you worry about stuff like that, you probably shouldn’t read Nextwave.

lol that moment proved why next wave was one good book espically when boom boom freaks out over Fin Fang foom wanting to stick her in his pants which one could not blame her for getting upset.

12 issues of some of the funniest superhero work out there. Its like the Authority, but without any plot, character development, or logic. Pretty artwork, funny conversations, and people getting kick(and then exploding). This thing has ELVIS MODOK for crying out loud.
Now I know how Captain Britain fans feel ;_;

I would have thought that Boom-Boom’s reaction to being put in Fin Fang Foom’s pants would have been the moment.
Is Marvel ever gonna wise up and bring back NEXTWAVE with Ellis and Immonen?

Just curious, is sticking someone who can make bombs out of thin air, into your pants a good idea regardless of gender?

Probably not, but why would Fin Fang Foom know about her powers?

After reading two installments on Nextwave I’m seriously regretting having missed this series. Only Warren Ellis could make someone like Fin Fang Foom sound funny in just a couple of panels. I would love to see what kind of dialogue he’d give a similar character such as the 1970′s Hulk.

Thank you for printing the Primer Page, Brian!
I always enjoyed how they got you into the right frame of mind for the story.
Cheers!
