A Year of Cool Comic Book Moments – Day 262

Here is the latest cool comic book moment in our year-long look at one cool comic book moment a day (in no particular order whatsoever)! Here‘s the archive of the moments posted so far!

Today we meet Ginger Brown, who is meeting her new partner, Bigfoot, in Proof #1…

Proof is about an organization designed for investigating and, if need be, either taking in (for their protection) or taking out (for our protection) various monsters and other seemingly mythical creatures.

Proof stars John Prufrock, who is, well, Bigfoot in the flesh. In Proof #1, by writer Alexander Grecian and artist Riley Rossmo, we see Prufrock meet his new partner…

Then, we see how she GOT into this situation…

“The” moment for me is the setup for the gun bit back on page 10. Classic. But really, all of the Ginger stuff is dead on.

I shared a few more pages than normal this time around because Proof #1 is actually available to read for free on Image’s website (check it out here), so I figure a couple of extra pages here isn’t a major problem in this instance.

Omar Karindu, with the power of SUPER-hypocrisy!

That’s an interesting way of using anachronic sequence that arguably works better in a comic — where “flipping back” is possible — than in film. Very cleverly done, and the sort of experimentation we should be seeing more often.

This was great, thanks. Reminded me a bit of the Fear Agent that you posted a couple of days ago.

Yet another one to add to the “to read” list..

great choice

Proof has been a fun read from the beginning.

Seems like an interesting concept. I may have to track this one down.

i would pick the moment where ginger tries to explain joe to her former supervisor and she does not belive her. lthat and also where she tries to shoot bigfoot

I’m not that thrilled by the first issue (well, what I see here), but the concept overall sounds cool enough.

I actually don’t think there was a very strong moment here…..but having read this I DO want to check out the series now. Thanks for turning me on to it!

Is her FBI supervisor Amanda Waller?

I’ve been reading Proof on my iPhone – the iVerse Media version. Again, the first issue was free, and at 99c or 69p per issue after that, it’s been great. still waiting for issue 10, but also looking out for the trades.

Great fun!

“Is her FBI supervisor Amanda Waller?”

Haha I was thinking the exact same thing!

If this was by Wildstorm, she could be that Earth’s version of her.
