Read on to see what Wolverine cover was the reader’s choice for the fifth cover on the Top Five Most Iconic Wolverine Covers list!
It was a close match, though, with almost 1,000 votes cast, this cover won by less than 30 votes!
Care to guess which covers made up the top five in the vote?

Yeah, great choice. By which I mean, my choice. Sure, that means two consecutive covers from the same arc in the Top Five Most Iconic list, but there’s a good reason for that.
Care to guess which covers made up the top five in the vote?
Nope!

Not the one I choose, but still really cool.

I almost picked this cover, but the panel had already made the most iconic panels list, and this is one of the few times I feel like the cover was not as iconic as the interior panel.

Wolverine 1 (Mini)
Wolverine 141 (Days of the future past)
Wolverine 251 iconic cross shot
Hulk 340 (McFarlane)
Those are my bets

I can’t believe I missed this vote. X-men 133 would have been my pick (but this is a good choice too).
What were the 10 choices to vote on?
I’m surprised no one mentioned any of the other Frank Miller covers from the miniseries (I always loved both 2 and 4) but I guess no. 1 is the first one people think of (at least in the mini).

I’ve forgotten what the choices were already, even though I voted. Was this one of them?

That might have been a good one to vote for.

buttler-I know I voted for 141 before seeing the rest of the list. It might have affected my choice since there were one or two others that were very close. But the Days of Future Past Tpb was one of the first comics I trurly picked out and bought myself. Not just a hand me down or whatever was on the spinner at Circle K.

I think this one is iconic, but more as a panel than as a cover. The iconic cover from Days of the Future Past was already on the list. People basically said that 2/5 of the most iconic Wolverine covers are him as an old man about to die or dying. I guess the readers are over Wolverine.

couple of the covers in the running for 5th place were more iconic than those ranked 4-1 imho

To Scott Harris: That is always the cover that I point out to my friends as not only the greatest Wolverine Cover but also one of the best covers ever. In fact that one issue is what caught my eye on a newsstand that led me to buy it as my first comic ever. It seems that it is never mentioned however by anyone ever, anywhere.
