Iron Sprite first showed up in one of last year's Christmas strips, playing the "devil on the shoulder" to Santa Claus' angel. But since St. Nick is deep in the Santasleep until winter, Iron Sprite is free to spread his influence without interference.

You're not the only one, Tanzim.
I don't get it either.
Unless they just picked Iron Man randomly.

Fifth panel really grabbed me. Seventh panel made me expect a Superboy punch joke. Fourth panel set up an expectation of endless Comics Critic fanboy debate about weather or knot Marissa was intended to be Jewish from the start, retconned in as Jewish to promote diversity, or not really Jewish at all.

Well, Sands doesn't have a secret weather control satellite, thus eliminating the possibility that his body is hijacked and turned into an evil robot woman, so he's got a leg up on Iron Man simply by avoiding that scenario.
