Speaking of Rocketship…

R. Sikoryak, the creator of Masterpiece Comics, will be at Rocketship this Friday, October 30th, to sign copies of Masterpiece Comics and give a talk about creating the work.

Mary: It’s not Superman, it’s a superhero incarnation of Albert Camus’s “The Stranger” (or possibly another Camus character – been a long time since I read it). Note that it’s “Action Camus,” not “Action Comics.” It’s also “Marie,” not “Lois.” The entire basis of the book is to take classic literature and do amusing comic-book and comic-strip take-offs on it, based on familiar comics styles.
