Last I heard, John Francis Moore was off in Hollywood writing there…him and Chaykin were partners on a bunch of stuff, though Chaykin’s back in comics land now.

J.F Moore has had comics since they stopped doing that though, hasn’t he?

He had some stuff out at the start of this decade at least, and that was either just before or after Chaykin came back.

I too wondered where John Francis Moore was as I really enjoyed Chronos and X-Force.

1. Salman Rushdie: Astonishing X-Men. After all, Rushdie’s Booker prize-winning novel, Midnight’s Children, was about* a generation of mutants, all born at the same time (a good 15 years before Rising Stars) and how they were eventually persecuted by their country. He’s stated that a comics publisher has approached him about writing superheroes…

2. Philip Pullman: Fantastic Four. It’s all about exploring new and uncharted realities.

3. Neal Stephenson: Iron Man. I’d just love to give Neal a chance to SHOW the kind of funky gadgetry he comes up with, by means of a talented artist, perhaps Ladronn.

Cormac McCarthy should write Wolverine Origins.
Jane Austen should have written Youngblood Strikefile.

I don’t get this defense of professional wrestling. It is overflowing with absolutely ATROCIOUS acting. All the emotions are transparent and superficial. It’s below soap opera level. If you like watching people fight acrobatically, just say so. You don’t have to pretend that there’s an intellectual quality to it.

If the acting was in anyway shape or form good, movies starring wrestlers wouldn’t be shite 99% of the time.

Also, if part of the fun of pro wrestling is appreciating the performances, why do they go to such efforts to pretend it’s all real?
