Guess the Secret Avengers!
The LAST teaser for Marvel’s upcoming Secret Avengers is out, and it is totally Steve Rogers (this one is possibly more definitive than the first one being Beast – hmmm….no, not MORE, but equally definitive)…. Read on to see the rest of the teasers again, now all together, along with my guesses (and my one [...]
What I bought – 10 February 2010
“Reading,” he says, “is always this: there is a thing that is there, a thing made of writing, a solid material object, which cannot be changed, and through this thing we measure ourselves against something else that is not present, something else that belongs to the immaterial, invisible world, because it can only be thought, [...]
Manga Before Flowers — Two Year Anniversary!
Yes, today marks my two year anniversary writing for Comics Should Be Good. Instead of highlighting a few of my favorite posts that I’ve written since I started blogging here, I decided to tell the story of how I got here in the first place.

A Year of Cool Comics – Day 42
Here is the latest in our year-long look at one cool comic (whether it be a self-contained work, an ongoing comic or a run on a long-running title that featured multiple creative teams on it over the years) a day (in no particular order whatsoever)! Here‘s the archive of the moments posted so far! Today [...]
Mainstream Media Still a Bit Slow Crediting Some Online Sites
Keith Olbermann did a feature on his MSNBC show tonight about the controversy surrounding Captain America #602. If you don’t know the controversy, the issue featured some protesters carrying signs with “Tea Party” slogans on them. Marvel says that they did not intend for the protesters to be identifiable one way or the other, but [...]

If a comic shouts “Hey! Look how clever I am!” and isn’t actually clever, that’s a bad comic. If a comic think it’s very clever and is, that’s a good comic. If a comic is simply very clever without drawing any self-conscious attention to itself, that’s a great comic.
Review Substitute: Batman and Robin #8
Some silly little blizzard kept me from getting my comics this week, but luckily, our own Chad Nevett has a spotlight review of Batman and Robin #8 on the front page of CBR! So check it out here!

Midnight Snack: 2/10/10
For those of your sleep-surfing, here are some items you can raid from the internet fridge.
Valkyrie Joins the Avengers?
Jazzbo so nailed this. This is definitely Valkyrie (but I’ll throw the question mark in because I’m not as positive as I am about Beast, I am about as sure as I am about the other one being Moon Knight). What a cool addition by Brubaker.
Danielle Leigh’s Reading Diary — One Piece vol 24-28
There’s no other word for it — Eiichiro Oda’s adventure series One Piece is absolutely epic. Today I take a look at the beginning of the “Skypiea” arc, which actually wasn’t a difficult place to jump back on board the title (I have previously read the first 14 volumes of the series) once the action [...]
