I Love Ya But You’re Strange Archive
This is a collection of all the past I Love Ya But You’re Strange installments! I Love Ya But You’re Strange is about looking at instances in comic book history where somewhat strange occurrences took place. The slightly odd stuff like, say, Luke Cage telling Doctor Doom “Where’s my money, honey” after Doctor Doom stiffs him on a gig. I’m glad these are loving tributes. Nothing I hate more than when modern readers read Silver Age stuff and go, “This is soooo stupid!” They were disposable entertainment for 8-12 year olds. And compared to what was on television…

I read the Luke Cage issues back when they came out. As a 9-year-old, $200 seemed like a lot of money, so why not go chase it down? These days it sounds like a lot less money, so the story seems a lot more bizarre…

I like these selections but miss the story line that even twenty years later read as the most bizarre story ever told by anyone that was Animal Man coma kid story were he wakes up from a coma in another in an alternate reality with uges to do minimalistic things the first cliff hanger was Animal Man eating the throat of policeman’s horse it also had him regurgitate his breakfast all over his family it was story directly after Morrison’s run . which was strange but this still was the most bizarre story ever told I would love to see DC reprint it .

best column ever!
Most people forget how many wonderful stories from the Silver Age are out there!
And that they can compete with anything Moore or Morrison has done!
Now could you do the same with the Golden Age?

Man oh man, I read T’s comments here, forgetting who wrote the WW at Taco Bell stuff for a minute, and my heart stopped briefly. “T is praising Jeph Loeb? Is it still April 1? Are the Mayans right that the earth is ending? What?” Then I remembered that Wm Messner-Loebs wrote the WW stuff, and then all was right in my world again. Whew!!

1. Spider-man drives a Spider-Moblie (dune buggy). What the? Good thing that is buried in the ocean somewhere.
2. Norman Osborne knocking up Gwen Stacy. And she gave birth to twins! Worst storyline ever!

How about the time time pregnant Lois died from internal bleeding as a result of being kicked by the super-baby she was carrying? It was in one of the Superman annuals from the Armageddon 2000 crossover event.

Well, it seems like some comments got deleted, because my comment up above is talking about a T comment that isn’t there. I’m not crazy, I swear!

You’re mistaken. It was a different archive comments section that a couple of folks were making said comments. They’re all still there.

I think the strangest spider-man story was him lost in suburbia chasing a criminal and with no tall buildings couldn’t web swing and was relegated to finding alternate means of moving across town being harrased all the way.
