Excellent Blog About Laws in a Comic Book Universe
My pal Loren sent me a link to a very enjoyable and well-thought-out blog called Law and the Multiverse, where two lawyers, James Daily and Ryan Davidson, address various legal concerns that would naturally come up in a comic book universe.
Very cool stuff.

I suppose it’s great for whoever’s interested in that, but it seems to be one of those minutiae-focused sites created by and for people who like to nitpick the slightest details of every issue of their favourite superhero book.

It’s been a while since I looked, but there used to be a site that reprinted Bob Ingersol’s The Law is a Ass column from CBG.

This site has certainly gone viral — this is the third recommendation and link to it I’ve gotten in the last week and a half.
I do miss “The Law is a Ass” too.

Can’t that be a fun thing to do?

It’s fun from a nitpicking/what if scenario (similar to Brody’s obsession in Mallrats), but not something I need to see addressed within the comics. There’s so much that would legally be questionable in comics that it would ruin that fun. Best to keep them separate.

Count me among the dissenters. Seems like nothing but an excuse for some legal experts to hear themselves talk.

@Carl – Kinda like why Civil War was so stupid? Yeah, I agree with that.
