A Month of Cover Theme Games #19
Every day this month, I’ll give you a new cover theme game! If you don’t know the game by now, it works like this: I’ll show you three covers. They all have something in common, whether it be a character, a trait all three characters share, a locale, a creator, SOMEthing. And it isn’t something obvious like “They all have prices!” “They all have logos!” “They all feature a man!” “They are all Avengers (who ISN’T?)!” “They’re all dead (who HASN’T been killed off?)!” etc.
In addition, please note that you must have some familiarity with comic book history to correctly guess these comics. You cannot guess the connective theme just by looking at the covers solely, you must have some knowledge beyond just the covers.
If you come up with an answer that works outside of what I intended, I’ll give you credit (well, provided I think it fits, of course).
One more thing – if there are floating heads on the cover, ignore them! They don’t mean anything!
If you think you know the answer, e-mail me at bcronin@comicbookresources.com (make sure to write which number game you’re answering). Don’t answer in the comments. This way, people who check in at different times of the day can still get credit for answering it correctly! After two days, I’ll post the people who answered today’s game correctly! Here is the list of all the games, along with the answers to each one (after two days go by, of course).
Good luck and enjoy!

I like this one. There are a few characters on each of the covers, so I could see some alternate guesses, but the “real” guess is pretty clear if you figure it out (and it’s on the easier side of things).

Dang, I saw the first cover, and was CERTAIN I knew this one — no American characters! Two Canadians, a Russian, A Kenyan, and an Irishman, but no Americans.
Then I got to the second cover, and that went right down the drain…

I think the second cover was throwing people off a bit, so I switched it with another applicable cover.

I think I got this, or if I don’t, I at least have an interesting side theory.

Yours was definitely interesting, Tony (and I’ll count it), but that was one of the reasons why I changed the second cover – I didn’t want to throw people off.

Interestingly, provided that’s Dick Grayson on the second cover, my theory still stands!

That’s Earth-2 Dick Grayson, so it wouldn’t apply.

I like all three covers, but that’s the only connection I can make.

Well, so far the games hasn’t really required anyone to read the issues presented, more about knowing the characters shown in the pictures (or the artists who made the covers or stuff like that).
This time I picked up at least one connection but I guess it’s too broad and too easy…and of course there’s the “lots of people getting knocked down” theme but that’s probably not it.

I know my guess of resurrected characters was pretty broad, but Colossus, Hourman, and Captain America all fit, don’t they?
More just that I want to know I’m correct about those characters, not that I need credit here…

Hiya! Quick question that’s completely off topic. Do you know how to make your site mobile friendly? My site looks weird when viewing from my apple iphone. I’m trying to find a template or plugin that might be able to correct this problem. If you have any recommendations, please share. Thank you!
