Comics Haiku Review Revue Deux

Comics Should Be Good
Haikus should also be good
Let’s hope these don’t suck.

Amazing Spider-Man #655:

From this moment forth
Ev’ry comic must be drawn
By Marcos Martin.

Atomic Robo and the Deadly Art of Science! #3:

A hot bowl of soup
Holds a son’s electric love
In cubic inches.

Atomic Robo and the Deadly Art of Science! #4:

Really spiffy hats;
An evil conspiracy;
A series of tubes.

Buffy the Vampire Slayer Season 8 #40

The day has arrived;
Our long national nightmare
…has a good ending?

Green Hornet: Year One #1-6:

Bought these on the cheap.
The colors, Duke, the colors!
Story’s solid, too.

Knight & Squire #5:

That awesome reveal,
Even if you know it’s there,
Knocks you on your ass.

Skullkickers #6:

Hack chop slash krakow
Hacka hacka blend puree
Spluk splurk crash krakow.

Superman 80-Page Giant 2011:

Bought it for Abhay;
Ten pages only contain
So many Olsens.

I had the exact same thought, minus the line breaks.

Your rhyming abilities are formidable. But the national nightmare that is the Buffy comic has yet to abate.

Unexpectedly
sudden realization:
I kind of love these.

Ooh, ooh, lemme try, I saw Fantastic Four 588 at the grocery store this morning:

Someone forgot to
put in any word balloons
Dragotta’s ok

yay, I think I did it right!

Something about Greg’s, the cadence, makes me want William Shatner to read haiku. Any haiku.

No more Sunday Brunch
but I like the new stuff that
Bill Reed is trying

Y’know what they say
that comics doesn’t pay
remember that next time
while you reading them on a dime!
