Not much in the way of surprises here, although I voted for Lobo over Flash.

Martian Manhunter vs. Wonder Woman is going to be an interesting one.

I also voted Lobo over Flash…mostly because I dislike Barry…but also because Lobo would trash him.

I don’t think magic really matters in this fight unless WW uses her lasso, to which Kryptonians have no special resistance. Wonder Woman is the most highly skilled combatant in any of the matches listed above. She’s held her own against Superman despite Clark’s raw power. PG has Superman’s basic power set (though she’s rarely shown to be as powerful as he is), but her hotheadedness makes her sloppy.

I blame the diet soda.

Considering that Hal Jordan has the most powerful weapon in the universe and Martian Manhunter is allergic to fire, this seems pretty silly.

The most powerful weapon in the universe that works off of his thoughts and he’s fighting a telepath. That seems to be the way most people went with it.

Plus, if you think about it, J’onn is absurdly overpowered and the “most powerful weapon in the universe” is just a line that isn’t really true in a cosmos with galaxy destroying devices. If I were going by naked power, MM outclasses just about everyone. How do you reasonably fight an untouchable man who can control your mind? Even the fire thing is a minimal weakness when he can fly away at supersonic speeds and decimate your mind from space/the ocean/whereever.

Like the Flash, Superman, the Silver Surfer, etc, J’onn is usually written at 1/2 to 1/16 his potential. Incidently, Brian, how did you seed these, just out of curiosity? Did you go by who you thought would win the voting?

Well, didn’t Flash’s rogues kill J’onn, while it took the sun to kill Hal Jordan? And only after he agreed to let it?
