Daniel Irizarri did a BONUS drawing for last week’s manga-themed The Line It Is Drawn!
Based on a suggestion from our own Mic Magtanong, Daniel depicted a showdown between X-Force and G-Force!
Read on to see Daniel’s drawing!

I had no idea Kick-Ass was a member of X-Force. But then I had no idea there was a whole team of Blue Falcons either.

As more of a Gatchaman purist, I hate seeing the term G-Force used, but the headline was just too obvious and perfect not to use so I guess I can’t blame you!
Great artwork!

BOO!!! I was hoping this was gonna be X-Force vs. those high-tech guinea pigs from that G-Force movie that came out a couple years ago. THE TITLE IS DECEIVING!!!

I was also expecting guinea pigs. Thanks for posting before me, Nick, so I didn’t have to look up how to spell “guinea”.

I love it. Great composition and use of color on this one.

i guess this week was me drawing Mic’s ideas! hah! that lucky SOB got 2 in a row from me! For the record, I had no idea these were coming from him.
Hopefully this was what he had in mind when he suggested it. : )

“Embiggen”? Learn English, Cronin.

It’s a perfectly cromulent word, Sarge.
I am astonished, meanwhile, to find out that there are people who saw that guinea pig movie.

Here I hoped it would be G-Force from The Boys

Embiggen is not only perfectly cromulent, but also one of my favorite words.

I saw it in the theaters, too. And loved it. Highly recommended.

GORGEOUS!!
Teehee… I got a Daniel Irizarri 2-fer! My birthday celebration continues and it’s nowhere near my actual birthday!
That is definitely what I had in mind, though that is in an exponentially better composition than what flashed in the brain as I frantically bombarded CSBG’s Twitter feed w/ suggestions at the very last minute. Everything about this piece just SINGS!
This is officially my favorite Irizarri piece. Thank you for unwittingly choosing “mic?,” bud! ;D We’re on the same wavelength. It can’t be helped!
Peace.
PS
This is the only G-Force I know worth knowing. ;]

“Embiggen” is first documented in print in 1884. It only just became popular recently.

“Recently” meaning “February 18, 1996, around 8:30 Eastern.”

Hah! I knew someone was going to mention the Guinea Pigs movie. They should do a piece with them, it’d be hilarious!
As for this one, as much as I like Gatchaman I don’t think they have a chance against the mutants. But good art, anyway.
