A Month of Comic Book Sites – Deadman Comics, Issue by Issue

All throughout June, I’ll spotlight a different web site about comic books.. Like with the month of independent comics, the month of LGBT comics and last month’s month of webcomics, I figure I will let you comic book site/blog owners out there suggest your comic book web site (or blog) for spotlight during this month. So if you want me to spotlight your comic book site, drop me a line at bcronin@comicbookresources.com!

Today we look at Brian Foss’ Deadman Comics, Issue by Issue which, appropriately enough, reviews every comic featuring Deadman in chronological order.

Soooo….yeah, not much else to say here, right?

I mean, it is a cool idea, don’t get me wrong. I like the site. It is just that it is such a simple concept, you really don’t need much elaboration from me.

The site is well-designed and the reviews are fun (Foss is up to 1976). Here is what a sample entry looks like…

Cool looking site, right?

So if you’re interested in Deadman, this is a neat site to follow his history along with Foss! I can only imagine how crazy things get when we hit the 1990s and 2000s, when Deadman made a ton of guest-appearances!

wow, thanks sharing my blog on yer site mr. cronin! i’ve been digging on yer posts for a while now so it’s a honor to have your mention.

I’ve got stuff mapped out to the present day, but part of me is afraid of the day i get to current DM comics. what’ll i do then? it’ll be a fun ride though.

Cool site, but is there any way to let you skip directly to a specific issue you want to read the review on? Or do you have to scroll back through every entry?

Yeah, that’s a good question, Brian. That would be a good feature to have – an archive on the sidebar.

on the bottom of the “what this blog is about” info there is a link to the archive.
i was playing around w/ tumblr trying to make it more obvious but i’ve been unable to figure it out so far.

brian “kinda ignorant” etc…

ok, i added a note – i hope that helps!

and thanks for the input, i loves all responses, the good, the bad, and even the ugly.
