A Month of Comic Book Sites – Cover Mash-Ups
All throughout June, I’ll spotlight a different web site about comic books.. Like with the month of independent comics, the month of LGBT comics and last month’s month of webcomics, I figure I will let you comic book site/blog owners out there suggest your comic book web site (or blog) for spotlight during this month. So if you want me to spotlight your comic book site, drop me a line at bcronin@comicbookresources.com!
Today we look at Mario Fernández Navarro’s aptly titled site, Cover Mash-Ups, which, surprisingly enough, involves Navarro mashing up comic book covers.
The concept is so simple, but just to let you know what to expect, here is a sampling of Navarro’s wares…

The funny thing is, I actually made the same Crisis/X-Men cover tweak a few years ago, just to make a point (with help from my wife, whose PhotoShop skills dwarf mine), but Navarro’s is more polished.
But these are great fun all around, and awfully well executed. Thanks for the heads-up.

Hey, thanks for the plug! It’s very cool to see this after all the work I’ve put into it.
Hope you all enjoy it at least as much as I do when I upload a new mash-up. and as always, submissions and suggestions are more than welcome.
And by the way, I think it’s the first time in my life I’ve been referred to by my second surname, it feels weird! In Spain (and many countries with latin heritage) we accompany our given names by the surname of both the father AND the mother.

Ah, good to know! I always diligently alphabetize my Garcia Lorca and Garcia Marquez books under G, but when I encounter a new name I’m never quite sure where they’re from & how to treat it.
