The Greatest J.M. DeMatteis Stories Ever Told! – Voting

Here’s the latest of the daily voting threads for The Greatest ____ Stories Ever Told!

Our next creator up for voting is J.M. DeMatteis.

DeMatteis has written a wide variety of comic book series for a number of different publishers, including popular and important runs on Marvel and DC books. He has had significant runs as a writer or a co-writer on books like Captain America, The Defenders, Amazing Spider-Man, Dr. Fate, the Spectre and the Justice League. He has also written more independent fare like Moonshadow, Abadazad and Brooklyn Dreams.

You have until 11:59 PM Pacific time, November 19th to vote for your top ten favorite comic book stories drawn, written or co-written by J.M. DeMatteis! Your choices will be revealed on November 20th.

You vote by sending your top ten choices to bcronin@comicbookresources.com (make the subject heading clear that it is about The Greatest J.M. DeMatteis Stories Ever Told Voting) by that time (you send your votes by e-mail, not in the comments to this piece).

Be sure to first click here to read about the rules and guidelines for the voting (so you don’t vote for stuff that is ineligible, like you can’t vote for “Giffen and DeMatteis’ Justice League,” you have to pick a specific story or story arc).

I’d prefer you not share your votes in the comments section – please let’s keep it a surprise until the results go up. You can share your votes then if you’d like!

Have fun voting and be sure to check back November 20th to see the results!

This will be a great list. IT’ll be interesting to see what JLI shows up beyond One Punch. I’m rooting for the Kooey Kooey Kooey story.

My vote is split between the very wonderful Moonshadow and the funeral of Mister Miracle (I don’t have my old JLI issues to hand anymore, but I believe it was either #40 or #41).

Man, this was hard to narrow down. I feel liike I’ve betrayed the White Rabbit and the Fabulous Frog-Man because they didn’t make the cut.

Ah – The first one in about a week I’ve felt qualified to vote in

What is the best place to find comprehensive lists for creators and characters?

I went to Wikipedia for this one – which I think linked me to the Grand Comics Database
