The Greatest Nick Fury Stories Ever Told! – Voting

Here’s the latest of the daily voting threads for The Greatest ____ Stories Ever Told!

Our next character up for voting is Nick Fury.

Introduced as Marvel’s answer to Sgt. Rock, Nick Fury soon became Marvel’s answer to James Bond, as well. He starred with his Howling Commandos in stories set in World War II and he starred with his spy agency SHIELD in stories set in the present. He has been a mainstay in the Marvel Universe ever since.

You have until 11:59 PM Pacific time, November 20th to vote for your top ten favorite comic book stories starring Nick Fury! Your choices will be revealed on November 21st. I will leave what “starring” entails up to you.

You vote by sending your top ten choices to bcronin@comicbookresources.com (make the subject heading clear that it is about The Greatest Nick Fury Stories Ever Told Voting) by that time (you send your votes by e-mail, not in the comments to this piece). If you don’t think you can ten votes, I’ll still allow the ballot if you can think of at least six stories.

Be sure to first click here to read about the rules and guidelines for the voting (so you don’t vote for stuff that is ineligible, like you can’t vote for “Jim Sterakno’s SHIELD run” you have to pick a specific story or story arc).

I’d prefer you not share your votes in the comments section – please let’s keep it a surprise until the results go up. You can share your votes then if you’d like!

Have fun voting and be sure to check back November 21st to see the results!

I’ve always been a fan of Nick Fury, but I’m not familiar enough with his stories to make a top ten list. I’m pretty interested to see what gets voted in. I hope some old-time stories end up here that I can look into, rather than newer stuff that I probably already read, like Secret Warriors.

The only one I can think of off the top of my head that I really like would then make me wish I could vote for the Filth.

But that’s just me.
