Is there a missing word balloon from Marissa before Jamal says “A little?”

I took it to be his serious answer to whether or not they started. Still, the transition is a little awkward.

Yeah, needs a transition. Maybe a “But yeah,”.

Anything Josh says I hear it in my head with the voice of Frye from Futurama. This does not disabuse that notion.

So where’s the comics criticism?

Is Josh really that dumb? I suppose “out of touch” is more accurate, but still…
Yeah, that one transition WAS awkward.
Perhaps there was no comics criticism, but since this is “Comic Critics” and we were shown Comic Critics, I don’t see the complaint.

I found the transition easy. The strip lacked Frank Miller though

I’m guessing this joke hinges on the fact that every person in the Western world is supposed to have at least one Apple product. I don’t own any. I couldn’t give a toss if a person doesn’t know what an “app” is.

According to the great Tom Haverford app is clearly short for appetizer. Just as zert is short for dessert.

The word “app” is used for Google Android applications, Blackberry applications and even some printer add-ons now, like on HP printers for example.

If it’s necessary to own an Apple product to know what an “app” is, and DeAndrew Way doesn’t own any Apple products, how does he know that his lack of Apple product ownership is relevant?
It’s like saying “I have absolutely no idea who this ‘James Gandolfini’ person you’re referring to is. I didn’t watch ‘The Sopranos.’” Either the second part was intended as a non-sequitur and only through incredible coincidence is actually relevant, or the speaker does, in fact, have some idea who he is.
