The Line it is Drawn Try-Out Week 2, Group 5

I’ll be posting entries in groups of roughly 20 artists an entry. Check their work out and marvel at all the great talent on display here. Then, after these artists do a second drawing, we’ll ask you all to vote on your favorites. I’ll also have a group of judges vote for their favorites. I’ll combine the votes and we’ll end up with the two new regular artists for The Line it is Drawn. We’ll also be picking out one regular alternate artist for the Line it is Drawn, but I’ll let you know how we’re picking that artist a little later on.

So kick back and check out some nifty artwork, all based on the same theme as The Line it is Drawn this week, which was “Team-up two comic characters that have never teamed-up before.”

Enjoy!

I’m keeping the groups the same as last week. So if you were in Group 1 last week, you’ll be in Group 1 this week and so on and so forth.

Harley Quinn and Deadpool………Whan can we see the real thing?!?!?!?!?!

Leonidas (300) & Groo, Spider-Man Noir & the Goon, Atrocitus & Red Hulk, Leonidas (300) & Groo, Venom & Spawn were my suggestions.

And a special shout-out to Marco, his piece, and others in his gallery are precisely the reason I asked him to e-mail Brian and tryout here. He gets the Big Mike Squirrel of Approval!

Robert Rath gets my vote on this round! I’m a sucker for cap and that entry was amazing!

A great bunch of stuff up there; I’m honored to be in such talented company.
But gosh, it must be said, I think the rest of us are really just competing for one spot because Robert Rath is one talented ink-slinger indeed. His piece last week was really good, but this week’s work is simply wonderful. It also shows a really nice range as it has a very different feel entirely than the previous entry. I think, my friend, it would not be premature to say congratulations. You deserve a permanent slot & whichever of us share that honor with you will be very fortunate indeed!

I like captain america and sergeant rock. my vote for them

Really like the Harley & Deadpool!

In Leslie Fontanelle’s drawing, my money’s on Groo…

I love Harley’s crazy-eyes. But there’s so much good stuff in this group.

The Simpsons / B:TAS mashup is very cleverly done.

Wow! at Natural Born Killers! I wanna see Juliette Lewis as Harley Quinn!

My vote is for Spirit and Batman!!!

Loved being involved in this – two of my absolute favourites are the earlier Plastic Man meets Mister Fantastic piece, and this group’s Batman and The Spirit – majorly invoking Eisner there Alonso, love it!

Robt Seda-Schreiber’s Cage/Lightning is a clever use of Ditko homage (Spidey vs Electro)

Spirit and Batman, love em!

did you see like cage vs.black lightning….at the apollo. Outstanding.

The apollo how very clever, the work is outstanding.

I vote for Alonso, Dark Knight returns Batman with the Spirit!!

My favorite is Luke Cage and Black Lightning. My hero is r. crumb, and this detailed work reminds me of him. Thank you!!

God……..Luke Cage and Black Lightning…is so hot. It’s the look that men want to be and women want to be with and some men need bedside. Remember the tissues.

Alonso all the way. Batman and the Spirit

I vote for Alonso! The Dark Knight returns Batman with the Spirit!! It’s awesome

Great matchups on this one. And I love the Bat-pun.

Spawn & Venom kicks ass.

DaRule LeClaw just keeps on showing his artistic ability again and again. Spawn/Venom just grabs you and won’t let you go. I find that is the case in all of his art. DaRule LeClaw for ever more.

It’s show time baby and Robt really brought it this week. Amazing detail that he makes look so simple.

Love the Deapool/Harley piece but the Cap/Sgt Rock canot be beat. What an awesome work that is.
