Time is Running Away…

Yep, so it’s come to this…SEVEN years of Comics Should Be Good! Seven years ago today this little ol’ blog was started up by Alex, Joe, two Pauls, Tadhg and myself (with a super cool name picked out by Joe). Thanks guys, for starting this place up with me! We’ve come a long way from being a blog just devoted to Joe Rice’s reviews of local brothels!

Thanks to all of our regular folks – our two Gregs (Burgas and Hatcher), Bill Reed, MarkAndrew, , Chad Nevett, Kelly Thompson and Sonia Harris!

Plus, semi-frequent reviews from Michelle and Melinda!

Not to mention contributions from ScottBrad Curran, Danielle Leigh, Alex, Joe, Paul Teel, Pol, Paul McEnery, Tadhg, Tom, Chad, Christopher, Harvey and Marionette.

Plus, of course, the features we host here (or have hosted), like Sean and Brandon’s Comic Critics, Kelly, Sue and Maddy’s 3 Chicks Review Comics podcast, Dean Trippe’s The Good Stuff, John Seavey’s Storytelling Engines, Kethylia’s Manga Mondays, Lorendiac’s Lists, The Line it is Drawn and our latest addition, Al and Paul’s House to Astonish!

Thanks to Jonah for hosting the blog at Comic Book Resources and to Stephen for keeping everything running smoothly!

Thanks, also, to all those folks who come by to read our ramblings!

Thanks to the sites that link to us.

Oh, thanks to those folks who bought my book! Please buy my new one when it comes out in May!

And thanks to anyone else that I forgot to thank!

These past seven years have been a blast, and I hope…okay, I’m pretty darn certain that the fun will not stop any time soon.

Thank you!!!!!! Now update the CSBG picture on the right.

Congrats on 7 years!
Long live CSBG!

Thank you!!!!!! Now update the CSBG picture on the right.

Still in our fifth year at CBR. ;)

Congratulations! In those seven years, CSBG has consistently been the best place to hear about and talk comics on the internet!

I mostly just visit for the Dylan references.

Yeah, I may not comment a lot, but really, CSBG is the only comics site I visit and I’ve been appreciative of your consistently worthwhile set of content for years now. I adore the site’s theme, that comics ought to be good, and hope that you continue to produce the same great content well into the future. Thanks for everything.

Congrats, guys. This is definitely my favorite comics blog on the net and has been for years now.

congrats on being around that long. hard to believe seven years already hope for seven more years or so.

Huge congrats. This is easily my favorite place on the internet. Keep up the great work.

Like some others have stated, this is pretty much the only comics blog I visit. Though my weekly comics habit has largely ended, I still love the medium enough to try to keep up with it somewhat. Thusly, this blog is at the top of my favorites. Thanks for always providing!

Woo hoo! 7 years! I think I’ve been lurking here now for, hmm, 3? 4 years? And contributed! (And I need to get it in gear and contribute MORE!)

The list of contributors reminds me that we haven’t had a post from Scott in awhile, I don’t think. I always enjoy his posts on classic comics.

Also looking forward to whatever fun features you’ll be doing in 2012 (somebody’s gonna have to read/review all of the Invisibles, especially with the Omni coming soon).

Besides all the great features/contributors, the ease of commenting also keeps me coming back. I don’t have to register just to say the dumb stuff I wanna say (which might be keeping OTHERS from coming back).

Congrats to all!

Congratulations everybody – this is consistently one of my favorite leisure spots in the webs. Keep up the great work.

Well done team! This is often the first place I go for my daily comics goodness and I’m never disappointed .

I miss Joe’s brothel reviews. They were infinitely useful.

Until Travis Pelkie gets his own blog (which I’d definitely avoid like the plaque) !!! ;-)

Here’s to another 7 more years!

Cheers, mates!

Happy Anniversary!

Congratulations to a fine accomplishment and a wonderful wonderful site. CSBG is one of the few sites I routinely hit (my “Gold” source for comics) and has never once failed to entertain or enlighten me. I had thought that all the sites had gotten so myopic or snarky that I would not check the internet for comics related info but then I stumbled upon CSBG a few years ago and now would check in even if I stop collecting (which I’ve no plans on doing). Thank you folks.

Congrats to you and the crew Brian…. *raises juicebox* Here’s to many more years of comics insight to come…

Avoid me like the “plaque”, Tom? You gonna floss me?

You know you’d read it….

Again, congrats to the CSBG crew.

Next up: Our TV deal with G4, right?

FINE I’ll try out some new brothels to review. GEEZ.

Congrats, all.

@ T.P.: “Avoid me like the “plaque”, Tom? You gonna floss me?” But of course, I’d hire an ugly dental hygienist to do it badly, first.

‘You know you’d read it….” You damn betcha, and I’ll eviscerate your blogs with bad reviews and make you cry!

Mazel tov! Thanks for the enjoyable daily reading, and may there be many more years to come.
