Name That Green Lantern (Kyle) Artist!

Every week, I will be sharing four panels featuring a comic book character. They will each be drawn by four separate pencilers. I will be featuring only pieces of art where the penciler did full pencils (as otherwise it would be way too difficult). Your challenge is to, simply put, name that artist!

E-mail me your guesses to bcronin@comicbookresources.com. Do NOT make guesses in the comments section! When I post the new challenge, I’ll post the correct answers for the previous on the archive page along with whoever guessed them correctly. You don’t have to name the issues the panels came from, but if you’d like to, knock yourself out.

Read on for the four Green Lantern (Kyle Rayner) panels…

Yeesh, I forgot how bad some of the artist’s in the 90′s were! :-(

First time I know all 4! No wonder, given Kyle is one of my favorite characters.

I love that crab mask. I love the whole costume actually. Kyle’s design was so cool I tried Green Lantern for the first time ever. Unfortunately I was turned off by Marz’s writing, but I did enjoy reading Kyle under Morrison’s pen in JLA.

Kyle Rayner will always be my GL, he’s just a down to earth character unlike other GL’s from Earth:

Guy has anger management issues and a split personality. ( see JLI vol #1)

Stewart allowed a whole planet to be destroyed due to his arrogance. ( Cosmic Odyssey )

And Hal will always be a murderer, regardless of that whole “parallax” defense. (Emerald Twilight)

On a different note, what ever happened to Wally West?

John B. wants to start a riot in here bringing up the “one in scarlet who shall not be named/remembered by DC” I think I have a theory that combines that he ended up doing a “Barry Allen sacrifice” for this nu52 Universe and has ended up becoming Triumph. On this first line wide crossover *cough*crisis*cough*, we’ll see WW reappear in a flash of lightning….

“Who’s Kyle?”

- Alex Ross

It’s been too long. I can’t place the individual scenes like I could have before. Actually, given the style in the fourth picture, I can guess the title.

Kyle was a great character. Too bad they cancelled Hawk & Dove due to Armageddon 2001.
