The Line it is Drawn #114 – Disney Welcomes Star Wars to the Family!
Go follow Comics Should Be Good on Twitter (if you have Twitter, that is – if you don’t, you can go sign up). Here is our Twitter page… http://twitter.com/csbg. And here are the Comics Should Be Good writers who are on Twitter (the links go to the person’s Twitter account) – myself, Greg Hatcher, Chad Nevett, Kelly Thompson, Sonia Harris Danielle Leigh, Melinda Beasi, Michelle Smith, Bill Reed and Scott!
I update the blog’s Twitter account updates whenever a new post is put up on the blog, so it’s an easy way to keep up with the blog. In addition, I post new content on the blog’s Twitter account.
Now on to the bit!
So every week, I ask a question here. You reply to it on our Twitter page (just write @csbg with your reply) and our blog sketch artists will each pick one of your suggestions and I will post them here every week. So every week you will have a new question and you will see the choices picked from the previous week. Here is an archive of all the previous editions of The Line It Is Drawn!
To qualify, you have to be following us when you reply – so go follow us and then give your answer to the following question/challenge (All suggestions due by 9:00 AM Pacific this Friday).
The topic is…

Hannah Organa is obvious in retrospect, but I never would have thought of that.

I love the accurate reproduction of the “Essential Guide” page in the Darth Verminus piece!
Huey, Chewie, et. al. is very nice work. Even if it was just the three ducks it would be nice.
Oh, and that Disney Princesses one will be very well received by certain corners of the internet.
But I like seeing a variation on all the comments we’ve heard about “Leia is now a Disney princess,” making them Star Wars princesses instead!

Hooray for Muppets! And princesses in metal bikinis!
Wait, is it weird that I cheered for Muppets first…

Yeah, the “Essential Guide” one is so much more awesome than it needed to be. Great idea!

“That Threepio in Walko’s picture is weirding me out for some reason”
That’s Hannah’s protocol droid protector, A-Kee Breakio. Is it making sense now? ; )

Chaz and Daniel went all out this week.
I like Paul’s twist on that classic scene. Jasmine with a blaster rifle? Solid gold.

Nice week. Huey, Dewey, Louie and Chewey were great! I also love that that image doesn’t have a background. Where should I put it?
Prince Charming and Han & Darthwing Duck are also instant classics. As my daughter loves the Disney princesses, though, mashup with Jabba is disturbing.
Also, maybe I suggested it after Big Mike, but I also totally requested “Dr. Teeth and The Electric Mayhem and Max Rebo Band in a battle of the bands”
Great job everyone!

Is Bill Wacko any relation to the Warners Three? What have you not been telling us, Bill?
Stellar week, but I love my rhyming, so Huey, Dewey, Louie and Chewie is obvious gold.

Brendan: Great job! Looks like we were totally on the same wavelength this week. Love Chewie’s smile!
Sean: Way cool. Check out Max Rebo in the back there…the grooviest jizz-wailer of all.
Bill: Very cute. I like the touch of making threepio into the Dad (forgot his name…something achy-breaky)?
Phil: That’s a wet dream for fan-boys all over the world right there! Fappa-fappa.
Paul: Cool lines, bro. Nice reversal of fortune, too!
Nick: Haw! Well drawn and well executed. As tinker-bell said “sweet!”
Chaz: Awesome. At first I thought he was covered in vegetables for some reason. Funny text too!
Cox: Ok, you are forgiven for slacking off last two weeks. Just!
Trumbull: Hehe. I like the way Luke looks all pissed off. Dig Chewie and Lando too – would make a good funny book about there pre-adventures before he lost the Falcon.
Josh: Excellent. LIke the slight de-sat in the colours and Chewie looks just so gosh-darn happy!
XuM; Nicely done…great integration into bg and well drawn. Making it an original cell is a nice finishing touch.
Great work everyone!

Every piece is outstanding this week, but Daniel Cox’s cartoon makes me wish he did the whole movie! It was so good i didn’t want it to end.
Maybe he could do this for episodes 4-6 and then i would never leave the internet!
Great job all!

Jabba takes the princesses as slaves.
Every time at least some of these pictures break my heart.
It’s weird that you have bloggers here on CSBG that talk about feminist issues yet this happens almost every time.
