Comic Book Team Tournament – Watchtower Region, Round 1
The first round of voting continues now!
Simply choose which run on the team book you like better. So choose whichever run is your favorite (whether it be that you think it was more interesting, more appealing, whatever criteria you want to use) in each of the following eight match-ups. You’re judging the run itself, not the individual characters that make up the team in the listed run. The voting concludes 48 hours from right now!
Enjoy!
NOTE: The polls are in Javascript. If your computer doesn’t allow java, well, you won’t see the polls.

lol You put Wolverine and the X-Men up against Watchmen? That’s not even close to fair.

I wonder if I’m I the only who voted for Wolverine and the X-Men over Watchmen?

That’s not even the most lopsided match-up at the moment.

Wolverine and the X-Men vs. Watchmen is an interesting matchup considering how WATXM has already explicitly homaged Watchmen during its run (the rorschach test scene in the Warbird centric issue.)
I actually voted against Watchmen, objectively superior though it may be, just because of all the runs competing here, Watchmen is “sacred cow”-like to an extreme that probably makes it a tempting target for a lot of people. I have quite enjoyed Aaron’s work though, especially with Nick Bradshaw penciling, and could definitely say I’ve derived more joy from that than I have from Watchmen.

X-Force/X-Statix vs. Ellis Stormwatch? That’s just cruel!

Hey, here’s where the runs I voted for ended up. Cool.

Wow, Watchmen only rates a #2 seed? Tough selection committee this year…

I dunno. Morrison JLA’s seed seems generous enough…

Peter Milligan’s X-Force/X-Statix? What about Allred?
@Mike: X-Statix is miles and miles ahead of Stormwatch, but I don’t see them winning, unfortunately.

By which I mean, X-Statix is a far better run. Way underrated though.

Watchmen loses because I don’t think of it as a “team book” at all. Plus, Wolverine & the X-Men is friggin’ awesome.

If you vote against Watchmen you fail at life. Seriously.
Now did I miss The Ultimates?
