The Greatest Iron Man Stories Ever Told! – Voting

Here’s the first of the daily voting threads for The Greatest ____ Stories Ever Told!

Our first character up for voting is Iron Man!

Tony Stark, the Invincible Iron Man, is set to be the feature character of his THIRD movie very soon!

You have until 11:59 PM Pacific time, March 31st to vote for your top ten favorite comic book stories featuring Iron Man! Your choices will be revealed on April 1st.

You vote by sending your top ten choices to bcronin@comicbookresources.com (make the subject heading clear that it is about The Greatest Iron Man Stories Ever Told Voting) by that time (you send your votes by e-mail, not in the comments to this piece. I repeat DO NOTE VOTE IN THE COMMENTS SECTION OF THIS PIECE).

Be sure to first click here to read about the rules and guidelines for the voting (so you don’t vote for stuff that is ineligible, like you can’t vote for “David Michelinie/Bob Layton’s Iron Man run” you have to pick a specific story or story arc).

I’d prefer you not share your votes in the comments section – please let’s keep it a surprise until the results go up. You can share your votes then if you’d like!

Have fun voting and be sure to check back April 1st to see the results!

I am not at ALL sure how I managed to post those instead of e-mailing them… I’m assuming my tablet is a sorcerer. Sorry about that, and please feel free to delete it!

No problema, TJ, I deleted ‘em. And I e-mailed your votes to me, so you don’t have to worry about e-mailing ‘em.

This is great, I just happen to be re-reading the Michelenie/Layton Iron Mans, so I’ve got Shellhead on the brain. Thanks for brining back this feature!
Looking forward to an entertaining month ahead!

Why didn’t you just a make a freaking poll with a bunch of choices? Hells no, ain’t noone gonna write an e-mail just for that.

Brian, is this limited to Tony Stark as Iron Man, or would James Rhodes as Iron Man qualify as well?

I loved the late 80’s Iron Man comics 87-89, I thought they were fun and action packed and threw Tony into some serious and realistic tone, honestly that’s where I started reading comics, I didn’t get much into it until the late 90’s where Kurt Busiek was writing IM – great run. Not sure what really happened from then, until the movies came out.

Brian, is this limited to Tony Stark as Iron Man, or would James Rhodes as Iron Man qualify as well?

I’ll say just Tony Stark.

I hope people vote for the Sabbath song.

Already sent in one but remembered it’s 10 and will try to come up with nine more.

What about stories where Tony is the main character but doesn’t put on the armor?

Would appearances in other titles (Avengers, team-up titles, etc.) count as long as he has a key role?

I voted for one Tony Stark story from while Rhodey was Iron Man – not technically an ironman story but a key moment in the ironman/tony stark story arc at the time (and the arc is too long to count as a single story)

John: If it’s the one I’m thinking of, that was my #1 pick. Glad that it’s not being overlooked.

I believe in voting for what I want and letting Brian rule afterwards on whether to disqualify it or adjust the issues covered

LAST DAY TO GET THOSE VOTES IN!

Looking forward to seeing the top 10.
