The Greatest Brian Wood Stories Ever Told! – Voting

Here’s the latest of the daily voting threads for The Greatest ____ Stories Ever Told!

Today we have Brian Wood!

Brian Wood has been a major comic book writer for over a decade now, working on comics for Marvel, Vertigo, Dark Horse and much, much more!

You have until 11:59 PM Pacific time, April 22nd to vote for your top ten favorite comic book stories written or co-written by Brian Wood! Your choices will be revealed on April 23rd.

You vote by sending your top ten choices to bcronin@comicbookresources.com (make the subject heading clear that it is about The Greatest Brian Wood Stories Ever Told Voting) by that time (you send your votes by e-mail, not in the comments to this piece). If you legitimately don’t think you can think of ten stories, I’ll still allow the ballot if you can think of at least six stories.

Be sure to first click here to read about the rules and guidelines for the voting (so you don’t vote for stuff that is ineligible, like you can’t vote for “Brian Wood’s DMZ” or “Brian Wood’s Northlanders,” you have to pick a specific story or story arc).

I’d prefer you not share your votes in the comments section – please let’s keep it a surprise until the results go up. You can share your votes then if you’d like! In addition, as a general rule for all of these polls, don’t be a jerk about the creator in question in the comments. If you don’t like the creator, fair enough, don’t vote. No snarky comments about the creator. I’ll be deleting comments like that.

Have fun voting and be sure to check back April 23rd to see the results!

Can I just vote “THE MASSIVE: WOOD”, then run away giggling like a goon? Because I’m a 14 year old boy in a 33 year old’s body.

heeheeheeheehee, he said Wood!

Actually, I like Brian Wood, but I don’t think I have enough stuff to vote for this.

Brian Wood’s stuff ranges from terrible to excellent for me. I think I’d struggle to find 10 things to vote for (though I am massively behind on DMZ and Northlanders).

I get to meet Brian Wood at Free Comic Book Day this year! He’s going to be at The Laughing Ogre in Columbus, OH (or the Ogre’s facebook page is lying to me). Too bad his first issue of the X-Men reboot won’t be out yet. I’d love to have him sign that.

If I get around to voting, which I probably won’t, my list would pretty much be Massive and Northlanders. He wasn’t on my radar until about halfway through Northlanders. Never got around to collecting DMZ, but it’s on my list to get around to collecting someday.

I found this list difficult do to because I’m such a big fan of a lot of his stuff. I got it narrowed down though…

I always feel like I want to like Brian Wood’s work more than I actually do.

What about “Local”? Can we vote for all of it or do we have to pick single issues?

Local is one story. It was only released as a single trade.

I guess each issue of Demo counts as its own story, right?

That makes this a lot more complicated.

Yeah, I think it works best if each issue of Demo counts as its own story.
