You Decide: Which Sci-Fi TV/Film Franchise Has Been Adapted Into Comics the Best?

With the release of Star Trek this week, I thought it’d be interesting to see what TV/film franchise you folks think was adapted best into comics…

I’m surprised Gi Joe isn’t on there, considering how highly regard The Larry Hama run is.

The G.I. Joe comic predated the cartoon series, so it wouldn’t be an adaptation of a TV franchise.

Doctor Who?

Now that’s a legit omission.

I came to vote for Doctor Who, only to find it’s not on the list.

I’m also surprised that Lost in Space is not listed, either. Especially since Bill Mumy wrote on that series.

Excluding Avatar: The Last Airbender is similarly criminal, especially after the last OGN

Futurama is missing as well.

lots of series that could be regarded as ommissions – Robocop comes to mind
also Dollhouse, Xena, etc

the problem is some franchise have multiple comic versions of variable quality (Star trek was done by Gold Key, then Marvel did a version based on the Motion picture, and there was also a newspaper strip, then DC took over and they also did Next Generation, Malibu got Deep Space 9 but were taken over by Marvel who also did Early Voyages and Starfleet Acadamy and…etc). Do we judge by the best of the multiple versions or the “average”
