Poohdickery for 8/25/13

Writer Don Ferguson and artist Richard Moore did a syndicated Winnie the Pooh comic strip for ten years that still gets reprinted today. One of the notable aspects of the strip is how Winnie the Pooh and his friends often act a lot less nice than they do in their animated appearances. In this feature, I’ll post one of these examples each installment.

Read on for today’s example of Poohdickery (tip of the hat to commenter John for the name)…

Oh, snap!

Answering the question: does a Pooh Bear shit on his friends in the woods?

For some strange reason, I thought of a Family Guy riff they did on Winnie the Pooh. Winnie goes up to Eeyore and asks, “Why are you always so sad?” Eeyore explains, “I have a nail up my ass.”

This is probably the one that I’ve seen reposted the most.

Winnie T. Poohbear, telling it like it is!

I love this.

Who knew that Winnie the Pooh and Superman had so much in common?

I love Eeyore but I may be the only one, as those Thousand Acre Woods peeps can be harsh

I love this series so much! My dream is to have Pooh pull up to Eeyore in a convertible and say, “get in, loser, we’re going shopping.”

Okay, true story time. I was meeting my four-month old niece for the first time (she’s a teenager now…), and her mother handed her over to me. As I was taking her, she laughed. Her mother told her, “That’s your Uncle Ian! It’s okay to laugh at him — the rest of us do.”

I don’t like mean Pooh! He should go jump off a cliff!
