At the next comic-con….they should have a limited collectors edition of just this for sale.

Mind-boggling. Or as Marvel used to say, “pulse-pounding”!

“Baking Bad” was the funniest and best. But the Modok one gets the prize for being the most realistic imitation of the real ads.

Trumbull’s Dark Knight kills me every time. I love the idea that the aged Bruce is worried that we’d call bullshit on the “real fruit filling”

“Something tells me to stop with the fruit pies…I don’t listen to it” Come on, that’s just gold right there.

That Breaking Bad one is perfect. i am going to look at all the ones after that later, but I don’t think it is fair to compare them to that.

It’s actually just a play on the “Rubber Bullets. Honest” narrative caption from TDKR. And the fact that Hostess fruit doesn’t taste much like real fruit. But whatever floats your boat. :)

Thanks!

Hadn’t seen the Baking Bad one yet. Pure Gold! These do need to be collected into a trade somehow.

Really? I felt Baking Bad won in that category too.

While these are all pretty funny (especially Baking Bad), I don’t know how closely *any* of them imitate the real ads, honestly.

That Batman/Mutant Leader one always cracks me up

Damn! That DKR ad was awesome. Excellent use of a classic series to shill Hostess products.

Be truthful, while you guys were sitting at the bar, this idea came to mind Brian? LOL…It was a pleasure to say hi to you, didn’t want to bother y’all too much because I saw the mob at Javits and knew you guys needed downtime. I totally second the idea to book these… Make Mine Hostess Cakes!

Thea forever!

Why did no one consider a strip about how the workers got screwed over. http://thinkprogress.org/economy/2013/07/15/2300111/hostess-twinkies-jobs/

love the baking bad one and the one where modok is upset he gets a cherry fruit pie instead of apple. plus the swamp thing one is really cool espically with the parody of alan moore hawking twinkies

Good parodies of those classic Hostess Ads…….Loved both the CALVIN & HOBBIES and the MODOK “Strip”

Am I the only one that remembers all the “Mostess” ads that First Comics ran back in the 80’s? Just about every First character and a lot of independent characters including Omaha the Cat Dancer were featured in them.
