The Great Comic Book Cover Homage Streak: Week 69

It occurs to me that it seems like many comic book covers are homages. Which is fine with me. I have no problem with it. It just made me think, though, how long could I go before I hit a week where NO new comic book was released that had a cover that was an homage to something? Let’s find out! Here is an archive of all the cover homages featured in the streak so far!

This week we’ll go with Jeff Shultz’s cover for Betty and Veronica #269, which is homaging J. Howard Miller’s classic World War II era propaganda poster “We Can Do It!”

Sixty-nine weeks down! Will we make it to week seventy?

Nice getting a x69 book in for week 69!

[insert lewd comment wishing Joe Casey’s Sex had come out with an homage cover this week, huh huh huh heh heheheheheh]

There’s something very…. uncanny valley about that cover.

I was thinking Stepford rather than uncanny valley, but I see what you mean! It’s the eyes.

I know better than to google that, buttler.
