The Great Comic Book Cover Homage Streak: Week 79

It occurs to me that it seems like many comic book covers are homages. Which is fine with me. I have no problem with it. It just made me think, though, how long could I go before I hit a week where NO new comic book was released that had a cover that was an homage to something? Let’s find out! Here is an archive of all the cover homages featured in the streak so far!

For this week, we’ll go with the Robot Chicken cover for Justice League Dark #29, which is homaging Sesame Street’s Monsterpiece Theater parody of PBS’ Masterpiece Theatre

Seventy-nine weeks down! Will we make it to week eighty?

I live to serve, s!mon

And so, inspired by this homage, I went to Youtube. There I discovered Alistair Cookie and childhood memories I didn’t know I still had.

Also, “Join me next week for Rocky 20. Story of 20 rocks. Very heavy stuff.” They make worse puns than Travis!

Wow, I thought that was in-pun-sible!

Damn, that one didn’t even work at all. I even hate myself for that one.

i…i looked up to you!(choke)
