You Decide – What Is Your Favorite X-Men Movie?

With the release of X-Men: Days of Future Past, we figured it would be worth finding out which of the previous X-Men films was your favorite.

Read on for the choices!

I thought X2 was a bore. Granted, Last Stand screwed up the whole Dark Phoenix thing, but besides that, it was a whole lot of fun. I had no problem with Porcupine Man (Kid Omega?) and loved how Pyro and Mystique were handled. I also enjoyed the whole Golden Gate Bridge set piece. I think the flick’s unfairly maligned. But what do I know? I also liked Daredevil!

X-Men: First Class is probably going to be my favourite for a long time because of the brilliant plot and use of its characters (not to mention that it’s also something of a spy/superhero mash-up), but I also thought that X-Men 2 was a great flick (and not just because it’s got Nightcrawler, my favourite X-Man).

Close call between X2 and First Class for me.

The first half of First Class is awesome, but it flags just a little bit toward to end. X2 is a kinda the opposite, it takes a bit to get going, but once it is awesome once it starts moving (or more to the point once Logan and Jean are apart, since their dynamic is pretty forced). I rate a great ending just ahead of a great beginning, but neither is a bad choice.

X2 is the Wrath of Khan of superhero flicks. Good mix of practical effects and CG too, it never goes over the top with the setpieces. Brian Cox is great as Stryker, too.

X2. Like Drax, Nightcrawler is my favorite X-Man. The opening sequence is fantastic. I liked X-Men when it came out (still do, actually) but found the action and special effects inconsistent. X2 was a huge step up, and most of the cast seemed to have fun with the material.

I just saw Days of Future Past and it’s fantastic. That movie might be my number one now.

I like the one with Wolverine in it.

You know, the one that centers on him.

Why do this poll just BEFORE DoFP comes out….? It might skew to fresh in the mind current one, but just to see where that ranks might have been interesting too.
