Thanks Brian

only my 8th, 9th and 10th place votes made the top 50
so it’s good to see my 3rd, 4th and 5th place votes(Cassandra Cain, Raven and Jonah Hex) make the top 10
which leaves my 1,2, 6 and 7 unaccounted for
whether anybody else voted for any of them remains unknown (possibly not)

That really is a remarkable spread overall. Heroes, villains, Golden Age to present.

I can’t figure out the Riddler’s riddles! I’m so dum!

I picked Stargirl as my #1, maybe not truly my favorite character, but I thought she’s be overlooked otherwise…and she was.

Of my top 10 only my number 6 pick Hawkwoman even made the top 100 and only three others from my top 20 made the list Starfire, Vixen and Death. I’m not very surprised as many of my favorites are fairly obscure. I’m just plain bored with a lot of the names that made the look. I can just about pick out ten from this list that I would even consider putting on my list of favorites the rest are simply over used, over exposed and over developed. Let’s develop some others. Right now I’m looking forward to the Lucifer tv show. He is one of my top ten from this list. I’m also looking forward to seeing more of Hawkgirl on Legends of Tomorrow and Vixen wherever she may appear. I’ve long been a fan of Megalyn Echikunwoke too so that’s doubly good. I’m not always that happy with how Starfire is handled. Given her history she gets portrayed as too naive sometimes or as a sexpot. I certainly wouldn’t mind meeting this Death when I pass away. Others from this list that make my top 10 include Donna Troy, the Metal Men, Poison Ivy, Cassandra Cain and Mera. My biggest disappointment is that Jade (Jennie Lynn Hayden) did not make the list. The rest of my absolute top ten never had a chance.

Half of my picks made it:
1. Jesse Custer (Preacher) (59)
2. Dream (Sandman) (21)
3. Death (Sandman) (32)
5. Bigby Wolf (Fables) (68)
8. Midnighter (Authority) (35)

…and half didn´t:
4. Herr Starr (Preacher)
6. Proinsias Cassidy (Preacher)
7. Tulip O’Hare (Preacher)
9. Frau Totenkinder (Fables)
10. Jack Hawksmoor (Wildstorm/Authority)

If I worked for DC, I would pay attention to this 100 DC Characters list. They have lots of characters that people love and they don’t use them properly…. Also, I’m surprised how high Wally West is on this list (#6).

As a huge fan of the character it’s tough for me to not see Black Lightning make this list. Wow. SMH

It’s heartening to see Dick Grayson rank so well, and I’ve always said that DC doesn’t capitalize nearly enough on that character.

comparing with the previous results

the most popular character from the 2011 top 100 to not feature in the 2015 top 100 is Blue Beet/e/Jaime Reyes who was at 46 in 2011

the top new-entry to the top 100 is Bane (at 64) – listed at 166 in 2007
top re-entry are the Metal Men (82) – listed at 86 in 2007

the 2007 list included evreyone who got any points
the most popular character not in the 2007 list is Damian Wayne at 27 (down from 14 in 2011)

the only character not listed in either previous vote is Mera at 96
a character who made her debut more than 50 years ago…
