The Line it is Drawn #277 – Deadpool Goes to the Movies!

Welcome to our weekly gallery of amazing art by our great collection of artistic talent, all working from YOUR suggestions!

Go follow Comics Should Be Good on Twitter (if you have Twitter, that is – if you don’t, you can go sign up). Here is our Twitter page… http://twitter.com/csbg. And here are the Comics Should Be Good writers who are on Twitter (the links go to the person’s Twitter account) – myself, Greg Hatcher, Chad Nevett, Kelly Thompson, Bill Reed, Greg Burgas and Sonia Harris

I update the blog’s Twitter account updates whenever a new post is put up on the blog, so it’s an easy way to keep up with the blog. In addition, I post new content on the blog’s Twitter account.

Now on to the bit!

So every week, I ask a question here. You reply to it on our Twitter page (just write @csbg with your reply) and our artists will each pick one of your suggestions and I will post their drawings based on your suggestions here every week. So every week you will have a new question and you will see the choices picked from the previous week. Here is an archive of all the previous editions of The Line It Is Drawn!

To qualify, you have to be following us when you reply – so go follow us and then give your answer to the following question/challenge (All suggestions due by 3pm Pacific Friday).

The topic for the next Line is…

Every fifty installments, this will be the theme! Mash-up a comic book character and a famous music album cover! The hardest thing is me remembering when we’ve hit fifty installments. It was just happenstance this time around.

Read on for the drawings that came about courtesy of the last question/challenge!

With Deadpool’s film debuting today, the theme is “Deadpool Goes to the Movies!” Just mash-up Deapdool with any movie. You can just name the movie or you can give a suggestion as to HOW you’d like to see Deadpool mashed up with the movie.

I’ll put them in alphabetical order based on the name of the Twitter user who made the suggestion (with three notable exceptions this week).

What a great debut, fellows! And right in time for our every fiftieth installment music album covers theme!

And great work by our regular Line it is Drawn artists, as well. You folks did Deadpool proud!

Okay, everybody, get to Twitter and tweet us suggestions for music album cover homage week! Mexican TV might await your choices!

Oh no the album cover homage is taking over here too.

The three new artists have impressed me already. Can’t wait to see more from them! (Also, adding Wolverine and Jubilee to Weekend at Deadpool’s? Perfect!)

I really like Sean’s depiction of Deadpool’s Fear, Anger, Joy, etc.

Great work all around! And now for the album cover tribute, my favorite recurring theme! (I’ll be recycling several of my unused suggestions from last year, but I’ve also got a few new ideas as well…)

Loved both the Monty Python/Holy Grail and the “Weekend’s @ Deadpool” the most. :D

Also, the DP vs. Killer Tomato was a bit humorous & liked the DP vs. Sharknado was……interesting. :/

Waiting for the storm of complaints that Xum should stop putting himself in these and that Deadpool isn’t even a DC character. Despite nailing the concept perfectly.

Axel, I had no idea you were such a movie buff, but no one said Sally had to be Meg Ryan now, did they? And bringing in the confessionals from WHMS was a great framing device!

Deadpool actually would make a good match for Harley, for reasons aside for the shared penchant for carnage. I imagine he would treat her right, or at least a hell a lot better than Mistah J. And these were all pretty excellent pieces, I must say, I feel like Axel would especially kill it on a Deadpool book.

Heh heh. Headpool.

I always had an idea of seeing Galactus on the KMFDM Godlike poster but my sleep schedule never permits me being up in between when the theme is announced and when the end time is. Argh.

Eh, you’re close enough. Just go tweet it.

Thanks, @Becca! WHMS is one of my favorite movies… that probably carbon-dates me…

Thanks, @Anti-Chris! Oh, I wish…

Really digging Xum Yukinori’s contributions!
