MARKANDREWS's TEN

1. Is Big Barda in the Birds of Prey, being written as a serious character? If so, what the fuck</i/?

2. What was your favorite and least favorite story from the Years Best Comics 2006 anthology?

3. D'you think that Onion Jack, the only superhero story to make it in the book, is competitive in quality with the best superhero stories in comics last year?

4. Of the four Avengers Books Currently Being Published (New Avengers, Earth's Mightiest Heroes, Marvel Adventures: Avengers, Ultimates) which team is your favorite?

5. What's your favorite issue of Acme Novelty Library, based on book design?
6. Which Harvey character is most due for a comeback?

9. What do you think of Fantagraphics' Ignatz format books? Is the size and cool binding worth the extra cost?

10. Cheryl Blossom? Yea or nay?

MY TEN

1. The "mystery" villain in Justice League of America, do you think Meltzer actually intended it to be a mystery, or was that just Wizard hype?

2. Anyone else amazed by how readable the latest 52 was? I have decided, surprisingly, to give Morrison the credit.

3. Is it just me, or was the Escapists oddly paced?

4. 10 years from now, how hilarious will the Spider-Totem stuff seem? I think the Iron Spidey stuff is no different from, like, Captain Universe Spider-Man, but the Spider-Totem stuff? Lordy.

5. What current storyline do you think will be the FUNNIEST, looking back at it, ten years from now?

6. Did you know that Battle Pope actually eventually gets pretty good?

7. Is Dick Grayson still officially adopted by Bruce Wayne in current DC continuity?

1. Do you think Stephanie Brown (the female Robin) should have a showcase in the Bat Cave?

2. Who is the greatest Star Wars character to be created in the comic books?

3. The way that super smart kid in Incredible Hulk #100 made Reed Richards look so bad, wouldn't you almost think the character was created by the writer of the story?

4. Will Iron Man survive Civil War?

5. Didn't Seth already remove Midnighter's other heart?

6. So wait, Manifest Eternity isn't going to have an ending? What's up with THAT?

7. Would Phoenix: Warsong be better off just using stick figures?

8. Did you read the info posted on the pages in the Nightly News before or after you read the story part of the pages?

9. Isn't it kind of silly to open up Avengers Next #1 tying in with current events in Spider-Girl? When the mini-series is collected, it's not going to age well for the story, I think.

10. How bizarrely ugly is Katana's new costume?

11. How well do you think Dwayne McDuffie is handling Hank Pym and the Wasp in Beyond!?

12. Isn't it awfully weird that Jennifer Walters is a therapist in Fantastic Four: The End?

13. Wouldn't it be hilariously awesome if Spider-Man went to the black costume after Civil War and convinced everyone he was a different person now under the mask?

14. Do you like Vulcan in Uncanny X-Men?

15. What is a better name for Nightwing's grappling hook system than "the winger"?

16. Should the table from Justice League of America get a spin-off? It's been featured so prominently in three issues so far.

17. Who is your least favorite of the Inhuman royal family?

18. Marvel Zombies vs. Army of Darkness - good news or great news?

19. Tad Williams on Aquaman - good news or bad news?

20. Jamal Igle on Nightwing - good news or bad news?

Remember this schtick? Well, it's back!! It's all because of question #6, which I couldn't figure out how to work into a blog entry, until I remembered this bit! For those of you who don't know this bit, there may be some spoilers mixed in here and some of the questions may very well be rhetorical!

Otherwise, enjoy!

1. How awesome was David Lapham's twist on the "he doesn't mean to do it" routine in Giant-Size Wolverine #1?

2. Is the "two-page spread of the Hellicarrier" in some contract all artists have to sign before they draw a comic with SHIELD in it?

3. Does the non-linear storytelling help Manifest Eternity at ALL?

4. Let's say you were forced to put some limitations on Dr. Strange's powers - what would you come up with?

5. So wait, Bloato might be alive AGAIN? You seriously can't bring a character back twice in less than two years - can you?

6. How funny was it that, in his first issue writing Nightwing, Marv Wolfman had Nightwing lose a fight? I know T was loving it!

7. Do you think Dwayne McDuffie will make Reed Richards seem reasonable?

8. How does a comic as silly as Hunter/Killer have such an excellent underlying concept?

9. Is there a rider that there has to be at least one gay superhero in every Winick book? Oh wait, he actually avoided that with Conner, BARELY.

10. Did you think there was a drop off from Jim Starlin to Ron Marz on Silver Surfer?

11. Do you remember the story in Winter Men at all?

12. What do you do with a comic when you DON'T recall what happened in the previous issue? Re-read the previous issues first, or just try to pick it up as you go?

13. How cool was the cover to 52 #22? Who do you think came up with "Magnus: Robot Hunted!"?

14. What was Kevin West doing for the past decade or so before returning to comics for Nightmare on Elm Street, of all comics?

15. Am I the only one who thought the second arc on Planet Hulk was a LOT lamer than the first?

LIGHTNING ROUND!!!

16. Who would win in a fight? Iron Man or X-O Manowar?

17. Who is a better reporter? Iris West or Linda Park?

18. Eddy Barrows or John Byrne? Who do you like better on the Atom?

19. Who's your favorite of the Demons Three?

20. who does Lex Luthor hate more - Perry White or Clark Kent?
